sadly as an avid boys planet watcher while the show was airing since ep 1 and a very dedicated zerose, I can tell you right now there was a pretty big hate train on poor gyuvin 😓. While watching the show i have never hated or disliked gyuvin if anything i loved him so every time when i went on tiktok to see every other boys planet watchers opinion on each episode there were a lot of ppl who not only disliked gyuvin but even hated or didn’t care about him. I was so surprised because i always thought he was talented and had such a fun personality yet on tiktok people would say some of the following remarks: •didnt deserve the #1 performer title for Love killa and en garde •koreans only voted for him because of his handsome visuals saying that “people nowadays vote only visuals and not talent” • a tiktok star creator having a dance moms looking pyramid chart for the trainees that are in their top 9 also having another chart for ppl they wouldn’t mind to be in the group and a last chart for the trainees that they didn’t care about or disliked, gyuvin along with only 1 or 2 other trainees being on the idc list. During the finales a lot of ppl on tiktok and twt were angry abt their favs not making it and most of them putting the blame on gyuvin, jiwoong, yujin, and their fans. I won’t lie i think i teared up when gyuvin made it because i always loved him and believed he worked as hard as everyone else and deserved a spot in the line up so seeing everyone treating him like nothing or recording their reactions of them being upset abt gyuvins debut and posting them really stung. Ultimately, just a few weeks ago i also was thinking about the times gyuvin was being hated and seeing him being so loved and adored now makes me happy but also a sense of sadness knowing people could switch up so fast on him after seeing him in zb1. Sorry this is a lot to read but im in this zb1 defending team for life 😭
