Seol Hwa is very cool! Though I would love to see her on an episode that doesn't just address her looks. She is usually a guest on "hot girl" episodes or "tattoo" episodes and I think like everyone, she has more to offer than that. Of course it is her choice and my statement isn't a negative statement towards Awesome World, I just like her dynamic with the others and think she has a lot to offer. My tattoo story: I have a few, but wanna talk abour rhis one: One tattoo I got was after I won the trial against the man who sexually abused me. The tattoo is to remind me that life goes on. In fact, now I actually don't like the design thaaaat much anymore, I am thinking of covering/adding some details. But I love the tattoo anyways, because I love myself - the core meaning of this tattoo itself :)

I got a tattoo at age 55 I it was designed by my son and it is in recognition of my Viking ancestry on my mother’s side. My mum loved it. Sadly she is no longer with us but she was a very strong lady and it keeps her with me always.

I love how the cast introduces themselves each video. It's just so happy and cheerful. I want to see Byungeun with different hair colors! The magnifying glass - HAHAHA! "I wonder how many people look at it closely" - Seungwoo is hilarious and it's always dry, witty comments. He's my fav. I would not want Byungeun to get a tattoo if it isn't his thing. It's okay to not want a tattoo, and also to not like the look of tattoos. HOWEVER, it is very nice to see him warming up from initial opinion to actually being open to thinking about tattoos and his opinion of seeing them on someone else. He's acknowledging the personal choices and beauty of them, and the individualism of them. I think he thinks Seolhwa is very pretty, and it has helped open up his perspective on tattoos. There isn't one right or wrong way to think about tattoos. Liking them or not liking them, the individual opinion is their own and it's respectable. I loved Seolhwa opening up about her story behind her tattoos and appreciated the reaction of the boys to it. I like how Seungwoo phrased it, "she wants to hide her flaws because she thinks they are her flaws." I love how that is phrased, because they are in fact, not flaws. But she thinks of them as flaws and he respects her perspective and viewpoint to do so, even if he doesn't agree that they are flaws, which they aren't. Seungwoo is very smart and kind. I love this little interaction moment. He's lovely. I also really liked how Byungeun was surprised at the concept of getting tattoos that covered up scars. It was like watching him have a paradigm shift on the reasons behind why people sometimes choose to get tattoos, and his reaction was really beautiful and kind. He's understanding and compassionate. I really liked seeing this side of him during this conversation. I really liked that Seungwoo opened up about being Catholic. I love the honesty in this show so much. It must be a very safe environment for the cast to open up so freely with vulnerability. I am envious. I really enjoyed this video much more than I thought I would. I'm grateful you posted it. :)

I'm loving the open discussion of tattoos in korea. In the UK it's not uncommon to see heavily tattooed people openly in public. I've got 7, most of which have strong meaning for me. The first was a small red rose, England's national flower. Then a camera that my grandfather gave me before he died. Next was my back piece of the "om" symbol, a blooming lotus and dot work. Om releases anger and the lotus represents beauty and purity through struggles and pain. At the time I had just gotten out of a very violent relationship. It's a beautiful piece but it's on my back because while the pain I experienced will always be with me, its behind me. Others are a moon for my best friend, a teacup because I love tea and a purple heart on my wrist for the English saying "To wear your heart on your sleeve". My biggest and newest tattoo is a full Japanese dragon on my left torso down to my knee. It was by ichi hatano, 100% recommend his art.

as someone who appreciates tattoos a lot I was happy to watch this episode, really. it's always interesting to get to know about other people's tattoo stories, their meanings or purposes. tattoos for me is a way to remember and keep close precious memories and people. oh and I really get Seolhwa about not regretting of any tattoo, but would like they had been made more beautifully. so adorable to see how Byungen becomes so protective and agitated when any injustice takes place. he immediately says that is wrong and.. yeah, his moral compas is really strong, he's a very sweet person.

I’ve come across many people with similar stories of how many others misjudged or mistreated them because of tattoos and piercings. As I grew up, I’ve come to learn that tattoos tell the story about the person. It’s always fascinating to hear about tattoos and the meaning behind them. Although I don’t personally have any, and don’t think I’d get any myself, I like tattoos. Seol Hwa looks unique and can pull off any look she wants with her tattoos. thank you for this topic ♥ I myself, is a tattooed woman with different colored hairs every now and then, and prejudices about woman with tattoos will always be there, so i really commend awesome world for having representations like SeolHwa. I mostly don't care about other people's comments, but it hurts more since my own parents had prejudices about them and openly talks about it, tho they already accepted me as a tattoed girl they are still stopping me from getting more saying it looks dirty even so when I started learning to do tattoos and tattooed myself every now and then, and my tats grew to 14tattoos. to everyone hesitating to get one, NO prejudices and snarky comments should stop you and do what makes you happy, in the end, your skin, your art, your choice.

I totally love this episode. They seem so comfortable and Seol Hwa seems relaxed. As they said, girls with tattoos are considered cheap by a lot of people. Only judging from their appearance. It's kinda disappointing. I also used to think people got their tattoos just because they looked cool. But that's not the case at all. I love it when they carry a story. It's cute. The only kind of tattoo I hate is the name and pictures of your bf &gf. Like broooo what if you get dumped the next year?? That's plain stupidity.

It's times like this that I wish I spoke/could write Korean. I would love to be able to tell Seolhwa that the lady said that stuff because she felt inferior to Seolhwa and the only way she could make herself feel better is to say something to try to drag Seolhwa down. Sadly, there are lot's of people out there who, when confronted with people they don't understand, feel the need to make comments about them so they can feel better about themselves. Seolhwa you are a beautiful person, inside and out. Don't pay attention to the haters. Decorate yourself the way that makes you feel like the BEST you.

So far I only have one tattoo. I’ve struggled with major depression and anxiety disorder from when I was 12 years old. Only recently has the battle gotten lighter. But I have a tattoo of a arrow going across my wrist but instead of a straight line, it’s a heartbeat. It’s to remind me to keep going forward in life no matter how much I want to do the opposite.

I have a panda tattoo on my shoulder. A decade ago I had gained a lot of weight and my friends started calling me Kung-fu Panda. I became very fond of that name and decided to keep an indelible memory on my skin by tattooing a panda (not the one from the animated film). I still use it as a nickname today, although I have now managed to lose weight.

I got my first tattoo at 50. I now, in addition, have a large tat on my back from a recurring dream that I had. A visual that kept repeating so I felt I had to do that one. I have a semi-colon on my left arm, to remind me to pause but not stop. I have plans for my next one, one of the oldest symbols in the world. I don't know if many would even think of it, but our distant ancestors did, I think it would good to remember that we all came from them and part of them remains with us for all time.

This is very cool, in the UK tattoos are no big deal. I have 5 and all have personal meanings... I have my parents' handwriting as well as odes to my grandparents (birds, pocketwatch, roses), and a nod to my insomnia and autism (the moon & the word serendipity). I always research the artists and make sure they have good hygiene ratings and go for it. Even if it comes out different to how I imagined it is still perfect to me as it has a deep meaning 😊

I think the woman that commented so rudely on Seol Hwa tattoos was just jealous because her husband looked at that beautiful girl. She does not look cheap at all, but very cute. I grew up with a lot of heavily tattooed adults around me, so to me it was art, an extension of yourself. Like the parts of you that you want to see, and possibly show others, but have strong meaning to you. I was always told that a tattoo has to mean something, it's just ink if it has no meaning. I personally have 3; a really bad dolphin and pentagram on my right chest (it was done with guitar string and a dremmel so it's horrible LOL) for my faith and my spirit animal, my son's name in Japanese on my back, and the Kanji for 'strange' at the base of my skull on the 1st vertebrae, for who I am. At the time I got it I was struggling with my sexuality, and my identity outside of being a parent. 'Strange' was the only thing I felt most of my life. The Kanji was the beginning of a full back tatt but I got really sick after getting it and was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. I get infections too easily now from everything to do with my skin so I won't be able to finish them. :(

I have always wanted tattoos, but I got my first tattoo last summer at the age of 38. It is an elephant looking up to the sky where there are 4 birds flying away. Elephant is looking to the birds with it´s trunk up with longing. The elephant is me (I love elephants, since they are very much like people. They love their family, miss the ones that has passed on, etc.) These 4 birds represent my great grandfather, great grandmother, and both or my grandfathers. All of them has passed away. And all of them was very dear and loved ones. And also I want to add one more bird to my one tattoo that I have now, since my grandmother passed away 4 months ago. Now I also want another tattoo where there would be a man and a little girl walking from the behind....holding hands and looking at each other. And a text "Always daddy´s little girl" ----since I love my father and I have always been daddy´s little girl. Even at the age of 39 :D

I have 1 tattoo, i've it since i was 17. Its a word 'believe' I dont remember how it started that i started to think about getting a tattoo etc. But i did choose the word 'believe' because in the past i did have horrible times. Like during the 2nd year of my first highschool i was alone, bullied, wanted to die etc. But oki, yeah since i got my tattoo i wanted another one. But i never knew which word etc. Now im 20, almost 21 i still dont know which word etc lol. A tattoo is something big yk. It’s so crazy cuz in my country, all those conversation about tattoos being a taboo in society and a “bad” thing, where held like 10 years ago. Nowadays it’s not a big deal anymore. Of course, elderly people still think is awful and some moms and dads won’t like it, but now having at least one tattoo is basically the status quo. It’s interesting to see how those issues are discussed in other cultures, and how different is the timing, but I’m glad I’m seeing more and more debate regarding a lot of important matters and overcoming prejudice all over the world.

I have 4 tattoos now, the first one I ever got was my puppy’s paw print with the phrase “you make me live” underneath; he passed away four years ago and right then and there I promised I would carry him with me forever and that’s why I got it, the other three I had them done simultaneously a month ago, one is my grandfather’s birth date, I got it because he was my father figure and was sick with cancer, he passed away last July 23rd ten days after I got my tattoo, the Canis Major constellation, because I always loved the sky and it has Sirio, the closest star in the sky (after our Sun), and also because I also love Harry Potter books, and my favourite character there is Sirius Black, named after that star and also an animagus that transforms into a big black dog. And finally a Lotus flower, to remind me that even if your environment if awful, you can bloom beautifully.

Never really had a desire for a tat. Then I had one of those dreams where you wake up with the feeling that it really happened...I think some can relate. It was a bee on the inside of my forearm and it was telling me that it REALLY needed to be there and a lot of other stuff, all with a urgent feeling to it. The feeling stayed with me for weeks. About 2 months later I had another dream where the bee told me he was my totem and why wasn't it there already. I could tell it was kind of pissed. Same feeling of realness. A couple months later it came back YELLING at me about how come it wasn't there yet, why wasn't I listening, when would I realize how important this was, etc. During all this time I was thinking about this and meeting artists, things like that. Finally, I did it, and I never had the dream from the bee again. All this was 10 years ago.
