@@medj7779 Well, I am sorry to say this but the womb itself IS a muscle and a super strong and powerful one, seeing it has to carry a baby for 9 months. The scientists who have created the period cramp simulator say that real life period pain is actually worse than a period pain simulator on either men and women, because when the pain comes FROM inside that muscle itself, which at the same time is a sensitive inner ORGAN, therefore it's worse than any simulator that you stick on the outside of a muscle can possibly recreate, but obviously that's all an external simulator can do to try to recreate it. As a woman watching this video, it is also quite easy to see that the woman in this video is still coping well at level 7, even though in real life when period cramps get to an extreme level, say level 10, you will faint and go unconscious. I can not count the number of times I have fainted from period pains. It therefore seems highly unlikely that reaching number 10 on this machine will be the same as period pain level 10 in real life. The highest levels of period pains are similar to early stages of labor pains, while full labor pain is the highest pain a human being is capable of experiencing, according to science. Also, the very first time experiencing period cramps can be quite shocking and overwhelming and this stops you from breathing properly which makes it worse. It becomes slightly easier to manage after years of going through it, because you will learn the hard way over time to slow breathe through pain and stay calm, which can make it more manageable. So the woman's experience of real life period pain will likely have helped her a lot to know how to breathe into her lower stomach. Similar to labor pain etc, it's breathing that makes the most difference in handling it. It never gets fun though. Ever....! It's hard, for sure. Unless as a woman you are lucky and you are one of the 17% of women who experiences only lower level period pains in her life. But that's the minority.

It would be interesting to try it and feel the difference to the pain that I have. I suspect that it would be quite different and uncomfortable. My pain is skeletal and nerve every day from degenerative disc disease and C6 root nerve compression in my neck with a bit of arthritis between L4, L5 and L6 in my lower spine for some random inconvenience (a day for bare feet because shoes are not going to happen. I keep myself busy in my head which helps to ignore the pain as much as possible. A good dose of Ibuprofen, some bubbles (Sweet Lips sparkling wine) and a nice hot bubble bath helps after a bad day. Just to clarify something that pretty much none of these videos mention - women's pain tolerance and threshold is quite a bit higher then men's, meaning men tend to feel pain a lot more then women do. This is because women were biologically designed for childbirth (and periods), so I guess part of that design is not suffering as greatly as we might if out pain tolerance was as low as men's is. Men or women, we all have our strengths and weaknesses, and balance each other out. :)
