Put them in a friend's house for a few days and Lowdown and Lido happened. But the whole album knocks me out still. Paich had amazing contributing connections beyond the band including Porcaro's father and his own dad. They became good friends. Paich once referred to himself as Saul Scaggs.

It’s synonymous with seeing God. Jeff made everyone and everything better and that’s a testament to Joe and also to Jeff’s ability to pretend he’s not the greatest musician in what ever room he was in or what you called humility. My fave thing is that Joe Porcaro interview about Jeff starting out. My God. We are so torn over his passing that we can’t even entertain Jeff sightings in this world. Jeff is the GOAT of music in general and also the drums. Jeff Porcaro 1992. Jeff Buckley 1997. My two Jeffrey’s. Ugh . My two main dudes who would have made music amazing up til now are gone and I blame whoever came up w this Shit to begin with. I wanted to do a tribute for Jeff as the Porcaro family and my family also have the Dad drummer and 3 musician sons, also Italian and also from the Northeast. Only way I could approach it while maintaining my integrity and also unique I think. Wow I typed a lot . Thanks

I did see along that north-east wall a decrepit park bench just left of the Dive Park painted sign, and a park table to its right. Help?... earth.app.goo.gl/gneGyQ

Similar experience here, Bob. When I had trouble getting my infant kids to sleep at night I danced them to the Silk Degrees songs. They relaxed immediately and would go to sleep. When they toddled they danced/swayed to it. One of the best R&B bands to ever come together. That album will remain timeless.

I love this song, and this video, and revisit it every few months, but this year has been one of the best for new music. Wolf Van Halen created an entire album by himself, with no skip songs. Jerry Cantrell released a good solo album. Halestorm is dropping a new album. The acoustic version of “Back From The Dead” is amazing. You might have to look for good music, since radio isn’t giving us much, but it’s out there.

@@beachgirl4583 😂 - You're RIGHT! It's his jacket, btw - but his eyes glancing back and forth, as if he's slightly annoyed 🤨😆 ! Also: appreciate how the studio jam is seamlessly mixed with that live performance - this is one of those gems why I like YT. In interviews, Steve Lukather always called Jeff the band leader of Toto, now look at 0:56: starting the groove and checking on the others if they catch on 🤓. It was already there. I'll stop analysing now and enjoy😉

ericgelders, I like your analysis. I’m not the one who noticed the jacket first. Someone else did, and another person added a hilarious quote (“I know that baggie is here somewhere,” iirc). This is one of my favorite videos ever. It shows the seventies as they really were, and there’s something magical about what those guys did that night. Note how Boz looks to a 19 year old Steve P. right before Steve becomes one with his dual mini moogs. Jeff definitely set the foundation at your time stamp. (I thought the jacket was hiding Jeff’s hand in his pants. 😂 It could have been in the jacket pocket.) I’ve watched a few of Luke’s interviews. You’re right. He looked up to Jeff since their school days.
