Nobody had a voice like Peter Cetera, and there will never be another voice like his. I don’t care what anybody says, he MADE Chicago and was primarily responsible for their outrageous success. That voice was like no other. Yes, Terry Kath, Robert Lamm and all the others were indispensable, too, but Cetera is the main one that gave them that classic “Chicago” sound. And after he left the group, that familiar Chicago sound went with him…never to return again, even though they attempted to fill his spot with countless high tenor voices. Chicago has never sounded the same since he left. What a time to be alive back then. One hit after another from HUNDREDS of fantastic groups and individual artists. Today’s music sucks in comparison.

Peter could definitely crank up the voice, Terry on that guitar was incredible. The horns followed the rhythm. Great band, hit after hit. RIP Terry, you were one of the greats!

Damn, this footage is priceless. Peter Cetera is from my part of Chicago, the southside. the other bandmembers are from the northside of the city. these guys had a lot of BIG HITS in there day. this is just ONE of them. they made the city of Chicago proud.

These guys are the best of the best. My sisters girlfriend dated Peter Cetera in the "early" days. I use to watch them practice their early hits and use to get backstage passes. Every single one of them were incredible musicians and incredible people. I really miss the original band. R.I.P. Terry. Still miss you after all these years.

No doubt about it - Chicago is the greatest American rock band, ever. Nobody else had the musical diversity that these guys had, and the ability to pull it off.

Damn, I could listen to this forever. Chicago is at the height of their powers here. Grew up in Chicagoland and they will always be in my top three bands of all time! So happy I grew up in the '60s and '70s, when music was passionate and REAL.
