Okay so I literally just created a KZbin account a minute ago just to thank you Mr. Anderson for these videos. Everything makes sense now. You should be my professor. I came from the Galapagos Islands 2 years ago and it's kind of hard to understand all these terms and concepts but you make everything seem so simple and I actually understood every single thing you said. THANKS!

beautifully explained. I'm in a 300 level genetics class at a major university and this is just spectacular. This is a very difficult concept to grasp just reading out of a textbook, and having a professor who simply reiterates what the text says doesn't help. Mr Anderson, You the man.

I did this in high school too. I would sleep/not pay attention in class at all and the night before i took a bio test I looked at a few of your videos about 3 times each to fully capture everything you say and retain it and end up receiving an A on my test. Because of your help, I am able to bs my way out of biology :D

I have a question (not directly linked to this film) but part of hybrids: Haldane's rule. I understand that male F1 hybrids are more likely to be less fertile and it has something to do with the XY chromosomes but I don't understand it. I hate mindless reproducing theory without knowing what you're talking about so I was hoping someone could shed some light on this.
@calvinluo297811 жыл бұрын
Why less than 50% means genes are linked? is this theory suitable for all gene recombination?
@ohmylanta455811 жыл бұрын
Because if they were not linked, they would end up together 50% of the time anyway, through independent assortment of alleles to gametes. AND for genes greater than 50 centimorgans apart, it isnt possible to tell if they reside on the same chromosome.
