1. Feedback loops help maintain *Homeostasis* 2. *Positive feedback loop* - A system moves away from a target setpoint. Examples: seeing a speed limit sign as a challenge, fruit ripening because of ethylene. 3. *Negative feedback loop* - A system tries to maintain a target setpoint. Examples: trying to maintain the speed limit, temperature regulation, blood glucose levels. 4. *Alteration* - Problem in a feedback loop. Examples: diabetes. 5. *Ectotherm* - Internal temperature stays the same as the external temperature. (snake) 6. *Endotherm* - - Internal temperature is kept constant. (mouse)

But Mr Anderson is so much more detailed, and goes into a full-depth explanation on concepts, directed towards AP Biology. Hank just does a fun little overview on how things work overall, only directed towards a class like Biology or Biology Honors and things like that.

so basically homeostasis uses negative feedback to make demands meet exact or close to their destination, and positive feedback is when something is moving away from the required destination. and sometime during homeostasis, alterations happen which cause mutations and defects. right?
