As a former SpaceX engineer who has been watching you from the start: Congrats. Seriously. you are an inspiration to kids learning about rocketry all the way up to the folks actually designing raptor engines. No one aces a landing on the first shot, it's the courage and relentless belief that they can do it if they tweak just a few more variables, just like a bird on their first flight. @@DumbledoreMcCracken it was another victim of "needs to look like an airplane". Funds were sunk into the X33. We got SpaceX doing it like clockwork at this point. Since they get paid to deliver payloads inexpensively, that trumps the "needs to look like an airplane" mentality.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer, got bachelor's in Aerospace, and I know how much work to do this such projects, not counting for how many possible failures and stuck need to face off. Now apply to small geosciences probes on asteroids.... potential is amazing. Especially if you add it to Tom Stanton's "Gas Thruster Controlled Drone". One lands the probe, the other flys the probe, in places where there's no atmosphere .

@@insu_na Contrary to what you say, which shows that you write without having a clue, Elon Musk is the Chief Engineer of Space X, he has a degree in Physics and also in Economics. And, as for working, I don't think that founding successful and large companies like Zip2, Online X (now PayPal)and especially Tesla and Space X can be done by anyone without doing "actual hard work" , being very qualified and having a much more than brilliant intelligence. So, come on, go back to the fridge for another beer and go back to the sofa, it's too hot.

That tells you PhDs are useless and just go work hard and you'll get the same job. It's all smoke and mirrors. Computer Engineering Bachelor's degree and 20 years of work will do the same exact thing as a Master's. They end up with the same job. But the school kept the kid there for a little longer and got more money because of it.

I can't properly put into words how amazing it this is. It's not even just the rocket. 15 years ago it would be cool just to hear about this in a magazine or something. The fact we get such well made videos of the whole project makes me feel incredibly lucky. What you did was already difficult and making high quality videos at the same time just compounds the difficultly. Most people can't make this good of video and they aren't doing anything close to literal rocket science! I don't know how you do it. Can't wait to see you launch something 100 km high.

Wow, I can across your videos back when you first gave it a go and thought it was pretty interesting. This video came up as a related some 6-7 years later and all I can say is I’m impressed and very happy for you. I’m astonished with your persistance.
