BRITISH RAILWAYS IN THE 1990's
Visit to Scotland and the Highlands in July 1993
Part Three
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of my first trip of this year to Scotland and the Highlands. Initially to capture on film the sleepers being double headed with class 37s and the Perth to Inverness loco hauled with 37s and also the Fort William Services. Starting off with this part I visited Rannoch Station, (The most remote station on the route) I captured on video the Down London Euston to Fort William Sleeper setting down (For a lady awaited by her excited family). The sheer peace of the place is shattered by the roar of the locomotive as it departs. Then to Crianlarich Station where a surprise visitor was seen and the class 37 passenger service to Glasgow . Finally I popped into Millerhill Yard to see how it was performing and it was quite dead to be frank apart from some LE moves. My next visit to Scotland is only 5 weeks away and the Highlands feature again, so keep an eye out for that, probably will be split into 3 parts due to the length. The video is in three parts due to the overall length of material so I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Many thanks for all subscriptions and all of those viewers who have kindly shown an interest in my material.
