I got a theory about how stupid Lucifero acts once he is manifested. When he says 50% of my power was also left in the demon realm, it could also mean that only 50% of his brain was manifested as well. A sort of ganon situation where when he is revived he is a mindless boar monster. In the coming chapters one of Lucius' last resorts could be to manifest a 100% Lucifero and show the audience what everyone missed out on

I mean, to be fair, using gravity to warp space and teleport is pretty creative. Especially in Black Clover, where spatial magic is a completely separate magic type from gravity magic. Bro was essentially using his magic in a way that let him recreate a _completely different magic type_ and I'd say that deserves some praise.

I like Lucifero. IMO he cemented the themes of the story while continue to add to the small details of the story as well. Like the detail about characters needing a grimoire to do advanced spells. So we only see Lucifero use his raw magical power and no spells like Dante's singularity. It's also not confirmed whether or not the timeline was being manipulated so who knows how many time they actually lost.

I'm still thinking that there is more for lucifero in future chapters. The manifested version we see and the scheming character that was built up could actually be two seperate devils and i think adrammalech defying his orders confirms it. Lucifero also could know something everyone else doesn't and acted like that on purpose. Maybe he will take over lucius body when it reaches a state of weakness just like what lucius did to julius. Who's to say that astaroth is working with lucifero and divined a future where he could fully remanifest in a purified form using lucius body? idk maybe im just completely wrong but something tells me that the devils aren't finished in this story.

to me when i first read the chapters before we got lucious with the time devil i thought the same thing. After it was revealed that lucious was rewinding time i noticed it fit well with lucifero like when he kept saying he killed a lot of the humans....hell he leveled a kingdom to be flat and the humans literaly got buried by dragged down by gravity. His actions and the people who kept fighting like asta made lucifero mad like he couldnt understand how tf the humans kept ressurecting and continue fighting. Lucious wore lucifero down while buffing asta and the gang. He then got even more confused in the moment when(i forgot the devils name he tried to order to help him that you mentioned) defied his orders. He was being overwhelmed mentally and trying to proccess everything going on and none of it made sense to him. Him acting like a child is him lashing out at something that frustrates him so bad that he cannot understand comprehend and is being made a fool of. He believed himself to be the pinnacle of creation and being beaten and hurt by lowly humans dmg his pride and ego. So ya when you reread the chapters the way tebata writes and draws it you can see what looks like magic is being cast when the characters are being killed off it seems and is being brought back to life. And if i remember correctly in the later chapters lucious admits asta did die several times to lucifero and so did the others and he rewound time to ressurect them and kept altering history to his favor. He needed lucifero heart and asta was the anamaly he created to achieve this goal and is now dealing the said anamoly who can reject his time magic.

Do you think Lucius wants to force the Clover Kingdom into submission because he thinks he protects it? It would also explain why this arc resembles the elves reincarnation arc and why he's using devil power. Former antagonistic forces are used by him. Like in Star wars where emperor Palpatine wanted to forcefully expand his reign over the galaxy. Obviously he just wanted to stay in absolute power but it is somewhat confirmed that he also wanted to gear up the galaxy for the future Yuuzahn Vong invasion. A mysterious and powerful enemy that the corrupt republic would have never survived. Both heavily rely on their future sight. "Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen it" He already thinks of himself as a savior in a deranged way. What if he foresaw a massive invasion via time magic?! Lucius deformed Julius' greatest wish of an equal society and took it to the extreme. It would be a irony of fate. Julius greatest fear was that the Clover Kingdom would be assaulted at a weakened state. With the capital in ruin the "wizard emperor" basically gave every terrorist party an invitation to attack and take over. My prime candidate would be the diamond kingdom. Like the Quincies in Bleach they were introduced early on but never really taken serious. In my scenario they made use of the time when the other 3 kingdoms were distracted.

Great video! I'd like to share my thoughts on Lucifero's role in the story of Black Clover and what we could expect in the future. First of all, I don't think he's finished as a character. I have heard quite a lot of ppl and KZbinrs say that he's dead and that he has no other purpose left in the story. This really surprises me when it should actually be obvious that he will be back somehow in the future because we haven't even seen his true form yet. Megicula is in a similar situation, she is probably still alive and lost 1/3 of her power. We also haven't seen her true form. Even if it's in a sequal manga, devils are not done for sure. When we were introduced to Lucifero, the whole fanbase was in shock and and amazed by his insane entrance. He gave us unbelievably epic moments for a lot of characters and his fight overall was definitely one of the absolute best BC fights. The thing is, we thought that he is the main villain. That's why so many people were disappointed when he was taken out and thought that Tabata fumbled big time. I for myself was one of the very few patient ppl who waited before judging the arc. I believed in Tabata and thought that he was planning on something different - and what did we get? The greatest plot twist in newgen shonen and the real main antagonist who sabotaged Lucifero. Now I bet the majority knows pretty well what Lucifer's/Satan's backstory looks like in demonology. He was the most beautiful angel who was created by god and thus, he is extremely prideful. That's why he had an outbreak when Asta cut his horn for the first time. He viewed humans as flawed, murderous and deceptive when they were created and saw them as the main reason why the planet would be destroyed. He was the only angel who refused to kneel before humans. He wanted to prove his father wrong because he had so much faith in humans, but he got banished from heaven along with others. In Black Clover's case, it could also have to do something with the grimoires. Perhaps humans were also blessed with grimoires by god while the angels weren't, which would perfectly add up with demonology that Lucifer was feeling treated unfairly by god. Now he got completely absorbed by Lucius and seems gone for now. But I think that he might be in a similar situation to Astaroth, bound to Lucius as it was mentioned in his flashback. He lost everything - his power, his pride and his status. If he returns, this should become really interesting because if Lucius is defeated, Astaroth and Lucifero might be freed. Perhaps Adrammelech was a double agent and has been working for Astaroth on an even bigger masterplan than Lucius so that the supreme devils can leave the underworld. I could be wrong of course and things could go down different. Only when Black Clover is finished we know the answer

Lucifero might still be the final villain, after lucius is defeated, he may spawn at 100% in a purity state. Black clover always has 2 to 3 final bosses or twists in an arc, so I believe he may return still

The moment they said that the world would be finished if he unleashed, I knew he wasnt leaving the arc alive. This dude steamrolled EVERYBODY when he was only at half power. He was not allowed to regain his full power and they damn well meant it. Asta and Liebe's true devil union was the only way they could force him to fight on their level, and even then they were nearly killed again when it ended, before Yami and Nacht showed up one more time. He really believed they'd let him escape after all that. Yuno let him know what he thought about that. Not a chance.

I feel like Tabata having known Lucifero wasn't going to be the final villain didn't exactly focus on how he would show this fake "big bad" but he focused more on how he could set the stage for what Lucius could do to the main cast to set his authority and his status among the main villains. For us fans who didn't know that Julius was to become Lucius who would be the final villain, it seemed so underwhelming how Lucifero's power played out because the intricacy, the uniqueness, nothing that could make this guy seem like the final villain was there. It worsened that effect because the chapters became monthly during this time so we couldn't know which direction the story would take since the "big bad" had been taken out so easily and essentially did nothing to affect the main cast in any sort of way.

When the anime gets to this, we need all gates of the Qlipoth to open, leading to Lucifero. At each gate we need to learn more about devils and the underworld and about of course more lore on Lucifero. Lucifero was cool and I liked him as a villain, but Tabata's situation with his family, his health and the working conditions of the mangaka's of today really damaged the potential of what was laid in front of us. I wasnt taken aback by Lucifero losing his cool, but we can definitely do without it. I'm gonna assume Tabata didnt let Luci use any spells because character death would've happened. Really hope the animr expand on these things

@CordobezVeridan the gates opening one at a time leading to Lucifero is doable, the first gate devil fight was with just a few people, as each gate opens more of the groups would intersect for a bigger scale to combat the one devil from each floor. It was already a big moment of despair when Lucifero did emerge. In this scenario things are even more dreadfully dyer, and we can get character deaths the community complains about on ears. They got the number of mages for it to work, we get to see more tactical corporation again and neat teamwork/combinations to get the job done leading to Lucifero.

The first gate was literally only manageable by DU Asta who was the strongest on the protagonists team by A LOT and even he was almost defeated because Nalith was just faster. Adramelech is already on the level of DU Asta and the third and 4th gate are just stomping DU Asta and by proxy all the protagonists. The BB full team and the captains with Rill can probably bring the third and fourth gate devils down but they are gonna run out of juice and there will be nobody left to save them when the fifth gate opens. The only one who can fight the fifth gate devil would be TDU Asta and if Asta pulls that form so early he'll be killed by Megicula, Belzebub, Lucifugus before we can even dream of seeing Loosifero emerge. All in all there's no feasible way for the protagonists to defeat all the levels of hell and the dozens of thousands of small devils that pour on the world until Loosifero finally emerges. You are literally pitting an entire plane of existence against 20 mages. It's like bringing God and ALL the angels of Heaven to fight our protagonists, it's an unwinnable fight.

Three hints I noticed in the BC manga of which who sealed the underworld and Astaroth identity. Lucifero is an L villain but he didn't say nothing about Astaroth when interacting with Asta, Liebe, Yuno, and any of the Zogratis siblings meaning Astaroth has no deeper connection with any of those characters. Also, the heavenly maiden that sealed the evil dragon was teased yet nobody knows who she is but based on lore she is connected to time, love, and water. Another thing I noticed when Asta had defeated the devils he failed to change their hearts, yet Noelle achieved that when defeating Megicula who replace Astaroth. Last thing Noelle wasn't present during the battle against 50% Lucifero even though she is way stronger than most of the characters. Something feels sus about all of this and if we ignore it than everyone will feel like an idiot.

Now that you mention, what made Megicula more of an intimidating villain than Lucifero was how cold, calm, and calculated she was. When she was fighting against Noelle, you could feel the hopelessness that Noelle and everyone was feeling. When something went wrong, Megicula wasn't screaming about how she's a devil and she's superior, she was just calm and calculated her next moves. Lucifero just being some whiny brat despite all the build up ruins him for me personally. I like how when he was fighting, he showed why he was the devil king, but when he speaks, he just sounds like a kid who doesn't get his way.

I think it would have been better if he actually killed some of the captains. Dorophy/Lotus vs Morris could have been it's own chapter to give her a good fight before dying. Fuegoleon and William's character arcs are pretty much over so they could go too, unless Tabata still wants to show Salamander's spirit dive. Sekke could also have a last minute change of heart seeing Asta give it his all, sacrificing himself for an assist.

When it comes to Lucifero’s personality after being partially manifested, I guess Tabata was trying to emphasize him being prideful (something Lucifer is known for in demonology) but he just came off as more of a manchild. As for why he wasn’t the final boss, I guess beside Tabata’s personal issue, he probably thought he made Lucifero was too powerful in that he was a world ending threat and couldn’t give him any legitimate reason for why Lucifero hasn’t ended the world yet. It’s still unfortunate that he just ended up being a red herring for Lucius and we didn’t even get to see the rest of the Qliphoth Devils.

Honestly, I could see them return to some of the things you said were missing during the climax with Lucius. Like, a full on extra layer onto this, because it feels like Tabata isn't done with the devils yet, especially since it feels like he made Lucifero into the Licht of the final arc.

I wish that Lucifero did something similar to gojo where he enhances his punches with blue or in his case gravity. He could’ve pulled asta towards his fists or he can create space distortions. It’s a shame that Tabata was rushed

to be fair, Satan being a whiny b*tch isn't all that unprecedented considering that he started his rebellion against God either because God wouldn't let him have total control over creation or he didn't want to submit to the authority of mankind. but yeah, I can definitely see this guy as being a *bit* more strategic in his approach to handling opposition rather than immediately resorting to the Frieza method. the Biblical version of this guy has a thing for tempting people into committing sinful acts by preying upon their immediate needs and desires, and it would have been interesting to see this guy resort to playing the long game upon realizing that he hadn't manifested completely.

I will say, although Lucius isn’t a particularly compelling villain, his fight is awesome. Seeing every character pull out all the stops and pushing each other forward against a single antagonist was awesome and it all came together really well in a ‘power of friendship’ sort of way

When people have videos powerscaling asta, they tend to downplay him by saying 'WELL HIS OPPONENT DOES NOT HAVE MAJIC SO ASTA'S ANTI MAJIC IS USLESS' and they barely bring out the key sensing or the multiplier for devil arm asta and they just have him lose against mash because apparently asta is only planet level cough cough singularity, couuuuuugh glamour world couuuuugh 😂

Well, for one, he needs to scale to whatever magic he's trying to negate. For another, anti-magic is an energy that outputs non-negating force.

@@thomasthecoolkid7228 And you will also agree that asta's physical strength would still have to be enough to fully negate the force of the majic itself since most people till this day still think that asta does not scale to it for some reason. I am not saying that asta could negate any power system since that wouldn't make sense, I am just saying that even if asta uses pure anti majic against an opponent who does not possess any majic, he would still hit with the force in which he scale's to. Asta's fight with zagred proves that anti majic still has enough force to break or shatter objects that are not majic based like the trident that he created which could kill pretty much anybody at that point of the story yet asta was still able to destroy it since he fused anti majic with his blade to make it sharper. So yeah anti majic is way more versatile than most people think and even if asta is facing off against really strong opponent who has no majic, he would still do damage since asta at that point of the story scales above vetto and the salamander who are around that multicontintal range and who are faster than the light speed patry that faced off against Yami and this is just at the pre-timeskip.

Ppl really forgot that Lucifero was only half power and his gravity then was stated to be able to overcome concepts like fate itself. He also bodied everybody at half power until TDU asta and this was after the 6 month time skip where everyone was significantly stronger. He could’ve been handled better but imagine him at 100% power, the guy would’ve been unstoppable

W, totally agreed I don't like people calling him a fraud because he isn't but because he believes himself to be the strongest n his arrogance he's a disappointing villian because if he was more cautious and didn't lose his composure so easily he'd probably be an exceptional villian despite how he went down. But either way Adramalech is way more interesting than lucifero given how we kn virtually nothing about him making us want to learn more about him, Lucifugus n how he appeared in Nachts flashback looks liked he'd be ruthless in a fight n given Yami, Ichika and Morgen being top tier fighters whenever or however he is officially introduced into the story we kn he's gonna be an absolute menace n then we have Megicula despite her originally being a high rank devil she's far more interesting than Lucifero especially with the old theory that Megicula was the original or first heart queen

Wrong, it's Megicula and by a lot. Lucifero at least had the excuse that he was nerfed and we got to see him destroy the cpatains for a bit. Megicula was hyped since the Elf arc only to be some loli demon that did nothing, was jsut a generic "Oh you humans are so weak" trope. Boring and Mimosa just noped any kind of consequence her fight had, you can take Megicula's fight out of the story and nothing would happen.

Why have subtitles if you’re gonna use speech recognition? You could have at least gone through to make sure they were accurate, people can put on closed captions if they want them. Lucifero was a red herring along with the entire spade saga to draw attention away from lucius. I believe the lucius reveal wouldn't have hit as hard if lucifero wasn't defeated as easily

I was hoping Lucifero would have a split personality, Moloch, as Thamiel represents duality. The Tree of Qliphoth goes: Lucifero/Moloch Beelzebub Lucifugus Astaroth Asmodeus Belphegor Adramelech Baal Lilith Naamah so why is Astaroth a king of the underworld instead of Lucifugus?

I think the position might have to do with how Lucifer, Beelzebub and Astaroth in demonology are considered the three Dukes of Hell, which does contradict the actual Qliphoth position a bit. It’s also worth noting that in the actual Qliphoth, Lucifero’s name isn’t in it but, instead, it’s both Satan and Moloch that shares the position Thamiel which like you said, represents “duality.” So yeah, I think Tabata was doing his own spin on the Qliphoth position by mixing and matching some aspect of Demonology. Although how would Moloch being a split personality of Lucifero work in the story?
