You took me back to my childhood, on a mackerel boat in Lyme Bay! The skipper (a seasoned 60+ fisherman) knew how choppy the water was, but needed to earn, so took about 14 of us out to do some wreck fishing. The boat was bobbing around a lot on the way, but he knew the area we were heading to would be calmer On the boat were half a dozen uni students, all a little worse for wear from the night before. Dad, a volunteer ambulance driver, had his work cut out when one of them got a hook in his leg within the first 15 minutes. Then they started turning green - literally green. After saying hello and goodbye to whatever was in their stomachs, they laid in the floor of the boat, moaning for the entire trip! My brother and I had fun! Standing at the mast, getting sprayed by the waves we crashed through, thoroughly enjoying ourselves. Then we focused on the task at hand and both caught decent sized bass. With mackerel caught on the journey out and back, we came ashore with very happy faces and strings of fish worth boasting about! The students had to be helped off and found a place along the Cobb wall to rest for the next few hours, the one with the hook in his leg had to go into Axminster hospital to get it removed and properly cleaned (Dad's first aid was just that - first aid - he didn't have the means to safely remove the hook, so ensured it couldn't be pulled and tear the skin more). They couldn't believe that "little kids" (we'd have been 8 and 10) could cope with all the motion! I LOVE choppy water!

A bit of chop in the water is always good for fishing :)

Thanks for the update Troy & Rebecca. A good haul of Shellfish, but boy, it was a bit lumpy out there. That bag look good if you have a use for such a thing, which I haven't. If I was to buy one, I would probably only use it with the shoulder strap, and it's a shame the waist attachment straps are not removable. Not cheap at over £50 either. Stay safe & well, both of you. 🎣🎣👍👍

Great bags if you have cameras, vhf, flares, phone or anything you need to keep dry on a dinghy, kayak or simply shore fishing.

That was a very lively sea lol. Good job Rebecca is there too would be tricky on your own that. That bag looks good quality

Yes when I used to pull the pots solo by hand in the Plymouth Pilot it was very tricky at limes. I probably would have left them until another day. You need to keep control of the engine. That bag does seem to be made very well. It probably would also make a great grab bag when fishing from a small dinghy or kayak.

You are now selling stuff on your channel or promoting gear. You have your advertisment revenue and now you want a membership. Bye Bye.
@Trojwaterman6 ай бұрын
Membership is optional. I have no midroll ads, I am not paid for displaying the gear and my videos are free to watch but if that's not enough for you then au revoir. All this from your new account trolling is obviously not for you either 🤣
