I have a very old Weihrauch 80 springer which I lovingly restored I have a PCP too but for shear fun the 80 always comes first and at 40yrds it groups at 15mm which is fantastic. Don't get me wrong for pest control the pcp in my eyes is king and so quiet but there's something about the old spring powered which I love, keep up the good work Andy I love all the revues that you do.

It really adds to the Weihrauch HW 77/97 debate. The Prosport has IMO, a better feel as it’s significantly lighter at the front end - a good thing unless you’re running off a bench. I love my HW97 Thumbhole, but I’d love one of these as an alternative. This example looks amazing. Thank you for showing this to us.

The only issue I have is.... They could have got the silencer to have the same finish as the rest of the metalwork/shroud. Looks a bit odd in that bluish-grey-black against a bronze barrel, but that's just my opinion and I'm sure many wouldn't even notice that.

A very beautiful rifle, and best of all British!! I have a feeling not many of these will see use, a collectors item for sure. Maybe they could do an alternative for use with a left/right stock and a slightly lower price. Or is it solely a promotional thing to generate more business?? Either way it's lovely to see British quality. This is where we are good at making good quality low volume products. We have to be be proud of this. Thank you Andy.

The platform it's built on, the AA ProSport, is quite the loveliest air rifle on the market, especially with the walnut sporter stock. They are about £1000 but if I had one of the pimped ones above I'd happily swap it for the production version.

A great review but I think the changes are mostly cosmetic and the original gun (imho) actually looks better. If I was younger and fitter I’d take the ProSport on as the only Springer you need, it reminds me of the early Airsporters I had in the 60’s +70’s. This “upgrade” of the ProSport is an attempt to improve on something that can’t be improved - just my opinion🤷♂️.

Morning all. Thats a crazy price for a springer but I suppose people are now used to daft prices. Dont get on with underlevers myself, especially in .177, as I struggle loading the things. But that's just me. Looks to be nice and accurate though, but a good old HW80 and a new Diana for less money make more sense to me. :-)

Not a chance would I pay 1.5k for an under lever not even at max power. The only decent thing about it is the cosmetics, but none of it adds to performance. Seen you get similar or better results from a £250 break barrel. Probs only made 10 because they know not many ppl would be daft enough to pay that for it... And they don't even throw in a scope at that price? Not sure why you mentioned 'but it does come with a heavy duty case.' Like that's some compensation for no scope? I'd say at 1.5k, a nice case for it should be expected?

Nice review as always. Everything looks beautifully machined and obviously performs as a Pro Sport should. Sadly not for me. I prefer the almost liquid, deep blueing of the original. A finish I have come to expect from all the Air Arms I own. The stock looks like a revamped version of my Khamsin, not necessarily a bad thing, but reeks of the 80s. Then we get to the assault on my peepers. The moderator and fluted barrel. Why the need for a moderator ? They ruin the classic Pro Sport silhouette. Did the fluting process require a heavy barrel blank, thus getting rid of the shroud ?
