A "how to" brace a Turkish horn sinew composite bow. The bow is 45 pounds at 30 inches, and about 45 inches long. The shape is based on the early "Bayezid" type of Turkish bows. It's made from only natural materials: maple, horn, sinew, natural glue, goat skin and colored with lac dye - which is a natural and historically used pigment. Lastly I have painted it in a traditional "Tezhip" pattern, and varnished it with linseed oil boiled with natural resins.
I do make these bows on order - feel free to contact me if you'd like one.
