No. The mifi itself doesn't consume data. It is the devices you connect to it. To avert that, set this Mifi as a Metered Network on your connected devices.

I think the oraimo Mifi 2 will be out soon in Nigeria. It is available in Ghana. You can go for that. If you can't wait, get this one instead. The new one has some upgrades like Dual Sims and the rest. Thanks

Generally, MiFi doesn't consume data. You can set data tracking on your mifi to track where, when and what eats up your data. Depends on some settings and what you download. If you have some auto-download on your gadgets, you need to set them to manual. So far, this MiFi is okay.

Check your adapter rating, please. It should be 20w or less. I use 10w for mine. It only gets warm after a while. Thank you.

You can track your data usage on your system settings. I don't think the Mifi itself consumes data. Probably, an update or connected device caused it. If it is not connected, your data will still be there, sir.

Thank you for your response sir, this is what happen I only connected it with my phone, and I try to stop all background app that works without using them, but I was surprised that I woke up second day the data was finished, I now buy another data and open the web interface, I saw the way it was receiving up to 200mb without downloading video, since last year that I but it 19k, I just pack it up and I don't use it again, so it was 1 of your video about the 9tip at you review that got me inspired that there should be a way to control the data usage from this Oraimo mifi.

Please, check the network courage jn your location. You can change location to the next 2 street or town. The mifi should work perfectly if you have good network coverage and data on your Simcard. Reset the MiFi to see if that will also help.
