He's a hall of famer when its done. He's kept the mystery in the game, in the sense that you don't really know what he might do on a shift, similar to the effect a bone-crushing goon might bring onto the ice. It's heads up/down as the case may be. The only thing I've seen him do that sucks is low-bridging guys, but it's a fast game and thats instinctive to someone that size. Man I miss North American hockey.

As he has matured the incidents seem to have stopped. I think he occasionally let his temper get the better of him, and being a smaller player he has occasionally had to step up. Toronto guy here. I absolutely love Brad and wish he was in TO. The man is literally among the best hockey players in the world and still brings a mental toughness and genius for opportunism that exploits any weakness and makes the best look like also rans. That is winter art and puts ice sculpture to shame. Amazing and clearly has matured into an incredible leader in the room. Plays for Team Canada - drop the mic

So, to be fair, the title is quite misleading. The video segment is 14:16 long … but the actual _”lifestyle”_ segment doesn’t actually start until 9:30. One of, if not the dirtiest player in the NHL in the last 12-14 years. His suspensions should have been longer each time, with 10 game increments for each subsequent suspension.

No, not true. Some team admins have enough character to know that the team's reputation is the sum of that of the players. And this guy's a jerk. A rich jerk, a popular jerk, but only a shameless jerk. When you delete the fame and the money, all you have left is character. In in that area, Marchand is poor. Looks like the sports psychologists weren't able to do much with his shitty attitude. He's lucky he can play hockey. Otherwise, he'd be just another irrelevant joe.

Respect earned and deserved. Consider how long his career has been, and still going. Professional hockey, no matter how much you earn and how you are treated by your team (First class travel and hotels, best training, sports doctors, etc.) is still extremely tough. The travel drains you after awhile, even in a chartered jet it gets boring and fatiguing. Most people would just pack it in after earning a high contract, take their money and retire into obscurity or do something else. The fact he is still physically, and mentally able to continue at this level is a testament to having been blessed with good genetics, but also just having a real "blue collar" mentality as well. As a Canucks fan, hated him but yes 100% would love him on our team, and 100 % respect him as a player. Also its on the Canucks in 2011 for not responding when he bitch slapped the Sedins. I also like the Sedins, but man it sickened me as a fan that no one on the team stood up for them when BM was at his worst. I mean BM was just doing his job, agitating and getting under people's skin. But someone on that 2011 squad should have been willing to take a penalty, even a game misconduct and throw down with Brad to show him, and the rest of the Bruins that the Canucks stood up for each other.

Some hear saying he’s “ matured” .Since when? He took out that Toronto defence man Lligren a month ago into the end boards with a dirty stick between the legs at high speed causing a severe high ankle sprain as the defender crashed helpless into the boards .That player is still out. He hasn’t changed at all. Astoundingly the referee completely missed the call. He then had the nerve to skate by the Leaf bench and started chirping. Karma will get him . He’s an obvious talent who doesn’t need to indulge in that kind of BS.

Markuliano is right, just search for marchand's slew foot highlight reel. He's completely classless, ruins the game for the real players who play hard & gritty but who have lines they don't cross. True, very true, and as a B's fan we have said the same thing. His hockey intelligence and skills are amazing. He has toned it down. Every team needs a rat, he is our rat. I say the same about Wilson on the Caps.@@itsjustme1616

He's great at getting off the ice just in time to avoid the -1, for example with a few seconds left in the 1st period of Game 7 against the Blues...

I hated him but after seeing this. I have realized he isn’t so bad. I guess I didn’t have all the facts. That licking stuff. Idk buds. That’s still sorta hilariously funny.

And wonder why their sons wear dresses. Luckily, I found one that's strong on plow. I'm no longer interested in her sleeve of wizard, but got three hockey beasts from that Cavewoman.
