Bought one, put a black background under the Paisley pick guard and then had a Glaser g/b Bender installed. This thing is awesome.

i been playing teles since 1968, i still gig a few times a month. once i set this guitar up, installed a rolling b bender off my cs esquire, it plays and sounds excellent. it doesnt matter where its made, what matters is the sound and the quality, its very light, i play it most of the night when giging, i dont change out guitars near as much. 5.10 on my scale, and besides the bender i put a leather black pg and some callaham saddles that i had in my parts bend. i gota say, its a very gigable guitar!
@seanhammer62964 жыл бұрын
You rate this guitar a 5.10? Is that on a scale of 10? That would be a solid F grade. Not exactly a stellar endorsement.

Everybody knows brads main guitar is a 68 pink paisley right? Every keeps commenting on how he plays crook guitars, but his 4 most used guitars are the 68, 52, some black tele, and what I think is also 68 sparkle tele which this guitar is modeled after. Thing is the sparkle tele has a rose wood fret board. Oh, and they're all fenders.
@JMunn557 жыл бұрын
I think the one this was based off of is a '62, but yeah, his main one (the pink '68) and many others are Fenders
@Tim85-y2q3 жыл бұрын
Is the pink one really his main these days though. Most of the recent (last 10 years or so) footage I've seen of him, he seems to be playing the silver tele they based this one on.
@CountrySingerWannabe7 жыл бұрын
This guitar is bad ass. You can pay a lot more for the american version tele (not a Paisley). Got me one recently and havn't been able to put it down.

Legendary West Virginia guitar luthier Bill Crook who has helped build Paisley's career can't be too happy about this latest Fender marketing scheme. Take a historical look-back to Premier Guitar's interview with Paisley's guitar tech Chad Weaver in the wake of the 2010 Nashville flood. Brad's relationship with Bill Crook, Fender and Gibson is clearly evolving toward Fender in 2017.

If there aren't the G bender to me It's not important cause Brad say that this guitar wants to be a great instrument for every guitarrist (country or not) who wont approach the exellent quality without have to spend much money. The G bend's price It's around 1000$...would have raised the price so much

Boy, people love to knock don't they? So much criticism among these comments for both ethos and guitar not much of which, in my opinion, is merited. I've owned and played many, many Teles and Nocasters over the past 60 years and from the admittedly singular and unavoidably subjective view that experience gives me I can tell you there is everything to love about BP's iteration. Mind you, I have changed the pickups on mine - a set of CS '51 Nocasters sound terrific thereon - and the paisley pickguard has gone in favour of a vintage RI parchment five-hole guard. Best thing about the guitar apart from its sound? The lack of weight.That Pauwlonia (sp?)/maple sandwich not only does something airey for the sound it sure as hell saves my 71-year-old back from more trauma than is absolutely necessary. It's "just another MIM Tele" say the critics. Not in my deck of cards it's not, not by a long shot. And while we're at the "let's knock MIM Teles" shop can anyone tell me who staffed the Fullerton production lines back in the 1950s? Names such as Tadeo Gomez and Abigail Ybarra spring to mind. Wonder where those cats came from?Lighten up people and enjoy.

A Bender would take the price up, but it's not even a Paisley signature without the bender. So what's the point? Also notice the one he's playing has the bender installed. It's all about the money. Go back to Bill Crooks guitars.

Wouldn't a mass-produced guitar with a bender in it help to bring the price down? As it now stands, bender-equipped guitars are pretty much all custom jobs.
@Tim85-y2q3 жыл бұрын
It might bring the price of a bender equipped guitar down somewhat, but I think his point was that it would add cost to the guitar vs. not having a bender. Bender's (especially good ones) take a fair amount of additional routing and mechanical parts, and no matter how it's done those things come at a cost. I'm not even sure it would be something that could easily be done as a mass production item on a CNC machine.

As nice as this guitar is at the end of the day it's still a 1300$ USD Mexican tele. With no bender it's just an inspired by Brad not an actual signature model. Save some dough buy a used Mexican tele and swap the pickups. My opinion of course.

FWIW the roadworn line has a better reputation than most MIM Fenders and this one does have some appointments that aren't common to other modern Fender teles, so it is it's own thing IMHO.

Brad's got the right idea. I like the neck and PU. I'd have to say my 2009 Tele Am Special w/ Greasebucket ($749 w/ gig bg new) rates highest. '52 re-iss nice, Am Stand great. But...$ for $ Am Spec. I have more strats. Beck, Clapton, Am Deluxe, several standards. I'm looking more for a 12"radi and a C neck. Mod C is good. But as I pick and strum 12" radius is becoming more important. Add in my Clapton strat is what I write with. Top of the Mountain.

I absolutely can't imagine paying extra for a guitar that someone else - in a factory - beat up for the sole purpose of giving it fake mojo. When you buy a new car, do you key the door and ding the hood to make it look "cooler?"
