This is the best interview I've seen of Brad Pitt. He was given the chance to express his love of cinema, and he showed a genuine appreciation for the process of film making and - particularly enjoyable - an affection for the films he's been in and the characters he's played. This one's a gem.

He’s so introverted and thoughtful, he needs time and space and deeper questions...think and talk about, as he said, ‘the complexities’. Agreed.

You're absolutely right, and I'd add that it's refreshing and enlightening listening to Brad talk, he's surprisingly humble, intelligent, deep, and articulate. Speaks to his talent as an actor, that it's surprising when you just hear him being him. He doesn't do a lot of interviews, mostly silly fun comedy bits, but when he does interviews like this, it's riveting. Especially with such a good interviewer. Mad respect for Brad, and for the interviewer (I didn't catch his name).

Kevin McCarthy always is so good in these kind of interviews. Actors and directors who are tired of just doing interviews all day, sometimes for days in a row really start to glow up and want to galk to him because he is genuinely interested, with a love for the craft. This guy really loves and knows film and does not care about their private lives. This leads, for example in this interview, to genuine energy and smilescand even questions from Brad Pitt about other movies that (of course) Kevin knows the answer to. So happy he mentioned that OUATIH scene with Sharon and Roman driving and the light going through her hair during Deep Purple's "Hush," on the radio. One of the greatest scenes ever filmed. BTW, AD Astra is remarkable. Meditative and at points perhaps "slow," but so is a trip to Neptune. Brad Pitt has become my favorite actor working. Fury, Inglorious Bastards, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and AD Astra are all examples of such nuanced brilliance that how could I not be enamored? From "Cool World," to "Fury?" What a career.
