I used to be an atheist and I can relate to this dude. When you’re an atheist you’re just a product of the system telling you to be one. Please keep in mind that fallen angels and demons believe in God, and tremble at the thought...are they loving? Will they dwell with Jesus in eternity, where there will be no more sorrow? No. So saying “I believe in God” isn’t enough to be saved from your sins. One must repent of their sins, and ask Jesus into their hearts and lives. One must be born-again through the Holy Spirit.

And what people say to you, you have to take it with grain of salt. You really have to listen to that inner voice that God uses to speak to you to decipher confusion (Satan). Many of us have been praying for him for decades as well. As a mother, I have been praying for him and his parents, that he would finally come to understand the Creator and Christ who has so blessed and gifted him. As a tremendously blessed individual as well, I understand the pressure these young souls face. To be so abundantly blessed can be daunting. To feel so incapable of achieving anything aside from an illusion must be equally difficult for folks who must constantly immerse themselves into another souls perspective in order to be a credible representation of another's sense of self must be terrifying on a spiritual level. So I pray for every skeptical soul on earth, for those who have gone on to face their graves apart from Christ Jesus who knew, just as this young soul does, that he needs the Love of Jesus Christ... even if he resents the failures of those who he sees as the Representatives of Him. It is the hypocrisy our children think they see that makes them our harshest critics. We, as the parents and guardians, must set aside our own egos in order that we might bear credible witness to our own imperfections and accountability to Christ for ourselves as well as on their behalf. So to all those who still think Jesus isn't the best Example of Unconditional Grace, Propitiation and Lovingkindness, I offer only this... Give Him a chance. He is Real. The law itself teaches that the Law was temporary "until the seed (Jesus) came." The law itself teaches that no man is justified by doing the deeds of the law. The "new and living way" is having the Holy Spirit living in you who "causes you to will and to do of His good pleasure." It's not by our own works, but "by the Spirit, saith the Lord." As a new creation, we are driven by the Holy Spirit, not our own efforts. "Whoever does not have the Spirit does not belong to God." The Holy Spirit is the "seal of the promise." You are either sealed (permanently) by the Holy Spirit, or not.

God bless" **To be fair, a paragraph or chapter sometimes isn't always sufficient context when the whole bible works together. In that same chapter you cited, Jesus also says, "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but HE WHO DOES THE WILL of My Father in heaven..." Look at all the works those people were justifying themselves with.. Later on, He says, depart from me you who practice lawlessness. All the way in the book of John in chapter 6 He then says, "For THIS IS THE WILL of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day." It comes down to, do you want the Father to judge you based on your works? or what Jesus did for you? Our "good" works are only in response to His love for us. Whether or not a person "wants to sin" [a concept, "sin", that would only be relevant IF a "god who requires of you" actually exists] is irrelevant. @@carlgray523 that was way back, a long time before christ. were people used to live by the law and tried following it but of course failing to do so. And so christ came and became the law there a scripture that says something like that. He didn't remove it completely it transformed into a period of grace where we can go to heaven by accepting him and repenting instead of trying to do everything in the law. So he changed the way we look at the commandments because now he says that should love God and love your neighbor which Is what the other commandments were trying to do. Remember the law was good but it was never ever gonna give us life that's why christ came and saved us. But that's what I think, that's what i believe

Churches are grounds for many religious practices and even idolatry. Shoot, some churches become THE Idol. But we as a body of Christ are the church. Not the building. So wether they connect them to a church or not is irrelevant when they first need to ground themselves in the truth. In God. The power is not in the prayer or the building or in the pastor.
