It’s cool to see someone who doesn’t know a thing about working on cars and then seeing them progress throughout the years. Mistakes will be made, very expensive mistakes, but you keep all that experience under your belt. Keep up the good work man, and it never hurts to learn more

Lessons I’ve learned after blowing this car up 3 times is that you should run a solid timing belt tensioner

There's a reason why he was willing to trade something small for that car.... because he KNEW something was wrong with it and that it was about to fail. Sad to hear about you getting ripped off your 700xx and then it getting ripped off HIM, but best wishes in getting a new engine for that 3000GT VR-4, because those things are extremely rare.

I've owned my 93 VR-4 for 27 years now and i cringed so hard watching how this video went. You don't know what you don't know but man those noises did not sound like a test drive was a good idea! The guy parked it for a reason after all. Live and learn, it's always fixable and better than spun bearings! Also Fram filters really are junk, it's the only filter that ISN'T recommended for these cars, the cardboard inside fails and blocks the oil circulation. Lemme go watch the rebuild video now lol

pretty damned good for your first time driving a manual. Would love to know how you even knew what to do with the clutch having never driven a manual.....I guess to be fair the very first day I ever drove a manual, I was somehow able to do it with no issues and then I started thinking about it too much the second day and had to actually pay attention to how I was feathering the clutch - but wow, a 3000gt VR4 for your first time driving a manual - that must be a very a cool experience.

the radiator fans being wired to come on makes me think it had a blown head gasket sometime in it life. i had a dodge neon i drove to and from work for 2 years with a blown head gasket, i removed the thermostat and it did fine. i have a 94 stealth base model 5 speed and it somewhat easier to work on, some parts are not made any more. just my 2 cents before you go WOT with the car make sure the brakes are good mine was stopping with just the 2 calipers.
