Hey guys, I'm back with another video!! So, finally the time has come for me to delve into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I've been wanting to start this huge franchise for a while but the timing was never right, but here we go! Ironman really was the catalyst that allowed the MCU to dominate for so long. If this movie hadn't been such a banger we would never have gotten all the way to endgame.

@@Glenny_Dennys yeah.. my interaction with it post endgame has been very spotty. I loved wandavision and subsequently broke my heart in Dr strange. But I've been super hit or miss on which ones I watch, liked Loki.. buuut haven't gotten around to season 2 yet 🤷

At first for the better but now for the worse. The success of Marvel has meant the industry as a whole is now relying solely on known and pre-existing IP in hopes of making it big. Everyone wants to create a universe. And what was fresh then, this silly, comedic storytelling, is now so stale and overplayed. Nobody is making quality movies anymore and that's true of Marvel too after End Game. Literally the whole industry has gone down the shitter trying to chase the success of these movies. And up until we got Dune and Dune 2, literally nobody would even make a different, ambitious type of movie (and even then it only got greenly because it was another known and established IP). So yes, while we got great movies for a few years, Marvel's success has actually been a net negative for the film making industry and the quality of stories that are being put out.

tony's bodyguard in this is the director of the film, jon favreau!! in the comics, iron man was a *b* *tier* character *at* *best*. it was robert downey jr.'s portrayal (who wasn't the most beloved at the time) that elevated the character to the status he's at now

Since u mentioned u have only seen Tom Holland's Spider-Man, i would suggest to sprinkle some non-MCU Marvel movies here and there throught this journey, meaning Tobey Maguire Spider-Mans, Andrew Garfield Spider-Mans, the X-Men franchise, the first Spider-Verse movie, Fantastic 4, maybe even Blade. They do become kinda mandatory at some point so why not knock them out slowly but surely? Just saying😊 really excited for this journey!!💙

Just so you know, Tony's black military friend gets replaced with Don Cheedle from here on out. Same character, different actor. Also technically the incredible hulk is the beginning of the MCU, but the main actor (the hulk/bruce banner) is replaced with Mark Ruffalo for the rest of the MCU. So unless you want a bit more context on hulk's introduction in the Avengers movie, you can skip it. Not a bad movie, just not super worth watching. The only other re-cast as far as I'm aware has only just happened with Jonathan Majors. Also, you did not just fucking say you didn't know it was cold at high altitudes. Why the hell do you think there is snow on mountains?

You're one of my favorite reactors and I'm excited to join you on this ride. In the Infinity Saga (from Iron Man to End Game), Marvel did something no other studio has done before. They took 10 years and 20+ films to weave together a story that reached its apex in Infinity War/Endgame (there's a payoff from a moment in this film that will murder your heart in Endgame). It is an unprecedented achievement just from a film making perspective. That said, thanks for what you do. You make people feel a little less alone. Including me.
