Just so you know, this is NOT Disney, it's Dreamworks and there's quite the story behind this film. So basically, Jeffrey Katzenberg, who worked at Disney and was responsible for a lot of their succes in the 90's, was fired and he then founded Dreamworks. Shrek is his revenge against Disney. You'll notice this movie makes fun of a lot of Disney tropes and has adult jokes (which disney obvs can't do), also Lord Farquaad was based on his old boss, the head of Disney (Farquaad sounds a lot like something else 😂). And Shrek made a LOT of money 🤭

I recently went to a drag watching of Shrek as a date (there were drag performances before the movie and then they showed it!) and it was truly the wildest experience. It was like watching Rocky Horror Picture show, people were quoting it and responding and it was incredible. A 10/10 date for sure!
