Chris Cornell was definitely a generational talent. Was lucky enough to see Soundgarden three times between '92 (& '96) and 2013 when got back together for their last LP. All those years of Grunge singing hadn't affected his voice as much one would think and he still had that absolutely amazing soul and range. RIP brother

Chris has some of the best covers you can find of some legendary songs. His cover of Led Zepplin, Thank You. Dare I say I like it better than the original. I was never a fan of MJ's Billie Jean but this rendition gave a whole new vibe and meaning to me. What an epic and haunting performance

The secret to him making this song his own besides his voice, was that the original song is in a 4/4 beat and he slowed it down to a 4/8. So it is more somber and emotional.
