Bradley Cooper deserves more recognition in award-wise. I can see dissapointment in his eyes during the award ceremonies. He spent a lot of time to train his voice just for this movie and evolved a voice nobody was expecting. Sure he is happy for Gaga but he needs more recognition.

I agree with you. I've watched the movie six times. It's just beautiful. The soundtrack is flawless. but I think "I'll never love again" is still prettier than "Shallow". Lady Gaga is magnificent both as a singer, songwriter and actor. Born a star deserved a bigger award. Good luck! Cleiber Rocha, from Porto Alegre - RS - Brazil.

@claverhouse1

The vocal training was to allow him to pitch his voice an octave lower than normal, not in how to sing.
@lauraishmael2635
@lauraishmael2635 5 жыл бұрын
He spent 18 months learning to sing and learning how to play the guitar. And also worked with a voice coach for singing AND to drop his range down an octave. His real speaking voice is much more in the tenor range rather than baritone/bass.

I've heard a lot of songs about alcoholism and drug abuse, but this song really hit home. I've lost family and friends to both of these. I got away from it and I'm so thankful for that. It didn't take yrs of therapy or aa meetings, all it took was thinking about my nieces and nephews. I never had kids of my own so they're all I got. Ten years ago I couldn't say this bit now I can, when I die I'll have people around my bed that loved me.... Before then if I'd died I believe I'd been by myself.

I just looked up who actually wrote the lyrics, not Bradley Cooper but Jason Isbell (never heard of him) I honestly think that this is one of the biggest masterpiece we have nowadays. The way Bradley Cooper sings it, you can feel hes got his heart in it 100%. I started playing the guitar 4 yrs ago and fell in love with music and music theory itself. These are the type of songs the reason why I find my happines in playing the guitar. No ego, no flex, just the honest thoughts of an alcoholic middle aged men. So many feelings, so big message in just a couple of thoughts, incredible. So simple but so deep also. The music itself too, 3 chords, so simple but so great. The way they presented this in the movie, when Bradley sang this song for the first time in that bar, the girl in his 20s instantly saw and felt the happines/pain and all the experience behind Bradley Cooper maybe she instantly fell in love too. I wish we had more songs like this.

OMG Bradley Cooper your voice is amazing. I could relate to this movie so much as a person in recovery from addiction. You can not imagine a life being an addict. Addiction is a cruel disease and this portrayed it well. So much emotion when we get clean. I sedated my emotions for a long time. Cried through this movie and left with an empty feeling. The emptiness of watching to many people die. I hope you make an album. Lady Gaga was awesome also.

Sheila Aker I know how you must feel. Stay strong girl!! My brother is addicted to cocaine... I’m afraid he doesn’t want to admit it and thinks he’s just fine or is going to be just fine but I’m afraid he won’t be, but we don’t get along because he physically attacked me once or twice so I said I’m done worrying about him. He’s selfish. But I still wish he would find his way out of it. I tried many drugs before but the only one that I’m having a hard time not using is marijuana to be honest. My favorite drug that can also be very bad for you because it makes you lazy and you forget about your ambitions and stuff. But cocaine, ecstasy and those kind of drugs are really bad for you if you don’t know how to say no to them. I used them on parties but I could turn them down anytime, so I know when it’s enough for me, I have my boundaries but many people don’t. I wish you all the best on your journey, stranger!

Just like others, I came here after watching Koo Junhoe’s cover of this song. I’m amazed that both actor, Bradley Cooper and KPop artist, Junhoe was able to give soul to this song. Lady Gaga despite her outrageous fashion sense on the early stage of her career, noone I guess could argue that she has one of the most amazing voice on the league of western artists. She can make it too powerful to hype the audience and soft at the same time to touch anybody’s heart. This movie is a must watch. Anyways, KOO JUNHOE, our Juneyaaaaa you make all iKONICs prouder woooooohhhhhhhh #iKON

In the UK we have a radio programme called Desert Island Discs where people are asked to choose which tracks they'd want to have with them if they were marooned on a desert island. They talk through several, but in the end, have to hone it down to one they'd save from the waves. I could never even imagine the shortlist, let alone the one track I would single out. Then I heard this. This would remind me of everything I ever felt, loved, hated, pondered, wondered, feared, cherished, feared losing and wanted to live on and fight for. Plus I could sing along and feel like a rock star! Win, win, win, win, win! Thanks for sharing this deeply affecting and artisically beautiful song with the world.

So, I don't know if Lady Gaga actually ever gets to reading these comment. But who knows. I got goosebumps the first-time I seen the trailer for this film. One person came to my mind. The one person I knew I wanted to see this film with. She's a single mom of three and she takes care of a sister with special needs on the weekends along with her brother living with her and his son who comes to visit. She's resistant to go with me for a couple of reasons. She doesn't want me to spend the kind of money going to the theaters cost. And also she says she can't go to the movies without them. The money doesn’t matter to me at all. I'd take them all if it meant we could see it together. I don't know, maybe this is just me throwing my hands up and leaving it to anyone that might be able to hear a prayer.
