I was there in the audience that night and Stewart was phenomenal. He's easily the best stand-up I've seen live. As for the people who complain about him being woke, so what? It doesn't matter if a comedian is woke or not. If they're funny, they're funny, and Stewart Lee is definitely funny.

@Randy marsh He's one of those bellends that tries to de-platform people with different opinions to him and he has that liberal elite superiority complex that annoys a lot of people. That being said, he is a brilliant comedian and I love how provocative and confrontational he can be with his audiences. I saw him perform live just before the pandemic and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to.

Never seen anyone from across the pond reacting to Stewart Lee but his humour clearly travels well. I've seen him live 3 times and, apart from being THE funniest comedian I've ever seen, after each show he stands near the merch stall and signs stuff and chats away to anyone who engages him. This show, Carpet Remnant World, is a masterpiece from start to finish and, though he always divides the audience into two camps as part of his act, this one was particularly funny. Getting stoned first always helps one flow into Stu's hilarious, biting, clever world of fun!

Well Done Guys. Stewart Lee-Braveheart is a must and very bold and typical of Stewart to go into The Lions Den of Glasgow and perform his "Braveheart" routine all about The Scots.One tip about Stewart. He is so confident or self-assured (or just does not care) that with 99% of comedian sketches and gigs the camera pans in on the audience roaring with laughter but Stewart does the OPPOSITE and makes sure the camera operator highlights anyone NOT laughing or even leaving to go the bathroom. He, also, loves to "pretend" to divide his audience between the lower tiers(who are ardent fans) and the Upper Tier, who have come at random, and even uses the Fourth Wall to chat, while on stage, to an unseen audience at home. :)
@vollsticks
@vollsticks 2 жыл бұрын
You know, I never noticed that about the camera shots! Another testament to his general amazingness. Saw him twice. First time I took a thermos full of highly-diluted lemon cordial and asked him if he wanted a cup. He gladly accepted before asking; "You haven't spiked this with some sort of experimental psychedelic drug that's going to give me a psychotic break, have you? Am I going to be living in a hedge on Clapham Common for the rest of my days and only gonna be able to sleep standing up?! I'm going to turn into one of those vaguely threatening, copiously-bearded old gents you see on the tube muttering about socialism, aren't I?!?" Everyone who heard this exchange was in stitches at this point. I chugged a long draft down from the thermos and said "No, I promise you, it is only weak lemon drink". Someone in the queue shouted: "WAHEEYYY!!!". Great night.

@@Isleofskye It was a great night! I spoke to him about music--particularly Malian blues and our mutual passion, The Fall and the gigs we'd seen by them, and how great their new LP was (it hadn't been out long at the time). Oh and I had to ask him about the Patrick Marber "situation". He was funny, tacit and not gossipy or malicious. Though he did say "he acted like a total and utter wanker", lmao. Marber, not Lee himself.

Glad you guys gave Stewart Lee a chance. He's not to everyone's taste, but he is arguably one of the best proper British stand ups of the last few decades. I wasn't at this actual show filmed, but I did see him on the same tour which was pretty much the same routine. That must have been ten years ago now. His humour can require patience and a lot of listening as he's not a quick fire gag kind of guy. It's more thought provoking and intelligent. He has wound up a lot of people who lean more towards right winged over the years. Check one of his older routines which was done not long after a Princess Diana Memorial was made and he talks about it. It's one of his all time best, trust me. It may take time to fully appreciate him, but when you get there, it's worth the effort.

The whole point of Stew is that he is the wokest comic out there (While being very un PC a lot of the time), his entire act is based on irony, snobbery, alienating the audience and pandering to the liberal left while simultaneously exposing their hypocrisies.

Part of what he said rdminds me of a classic joke from one of our Carry On films (mildly rude films mostly in the 60's and 70's). A beachball ends up on a bonfire, the guy rushes over to grab it and burns his hands, then screams. The guy handling the fire asks what's wrong 'My balls burning'. 'Don't stand so close to the fire'.

Lee is a comedic genius. Check Stewart Lee, "Braveheart". If you are non-religious check out Stewart Lee, "90s Comedian Excerpt". But to understand the cultural reference: Joe Pasquale is a hack comedian who steals other comedian's jokes. The clip itself is 27 minutes long, and it's a tirade of heresy and blasphemy. If you are religious don't watch. Lee was the co-author of a comedy musical called, "The Jerry Springer Show" (yes). It was blasphemous. Several religious groups sued and got it shut down. This was the tour after the show was shutdown. It was his revenge tour. It is hilarious.

Waooo!!!....Congratulations my friends Brad and Lucy!! ...I want invite you to give us your opinion, like music lovers, reacting to who is considered the best singer of the world...His name is Dimash Kudaibergen, a young singer who handle 7 octaves and 3 semitones of vocal range (An alien)...He has been singing since he was 5 years (he is 28 now) and he can sing in more than 15 languages...But if you decide to react to Dimash for the first time, please don't do it with his most recent songs ... I recommend that you go to the year 2017 and react to the song that made him a global idol ... I mean the performance he did of the famous French song called "SOS D'un Terrien en Détresse", when he participated in the famous Chinese reality show The Singer in that year 2017 ... With that performance Dimash earned the reputation of being the best singer on the planet, so I recommend you start with that one...You have to be prepared because you are likely to receive a flood of views, comments and new subscribers....And I have to give you a warning: Never react to The World Best videos, because they deceived him and treated him very badly.!...I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Dimash....Here you have the best high quality video of Dimash performing S.O.S.
