Its because your scalp produces heat and the heat makes the bleach work faster and also virgin hair lightens SO much faster than colored so if you've ever colored your hair before you'll need it in the ends longer so it lightens evenly

@@sarahfitz2877 agree, upkeep is pretty easy once you know what to use and how your hair reacts. I can pretty much do my roots and change my color in under 2 hours. It only takes that long because pastel colors really need to sit for a while.

I went from pink to light purple to dark purple to beige to brown, & literally fried my hair to the point I couldn't brush it anymore without it falling out in chunks LOL After 4 years of not touching my head it's FINALLY back to full health.

I had my cousin, a trained professional, attempt to make my hair go from black to silver, and she fucked up so bad that it was orange and green at the end!!!!! Always go to a reputable salon, it’s worth your money to make sure someone that knows what they’re doing versus going a cheap way. Trust sis! 💕

@@patswrld8422 I dont think I've used that brand. I used splat back in the day before I got my cosmetology license. Burnt my bangs off trying to get the pink out! I use pulp riot or pravana now. They're much easier to get out. That splat tho.. I looked real dumb for quite a while

Lmao what kind of Splat were you using? I did pink / purple ombré a few years ago using it and it came out the next day - didn’t even shower or get wet, it was running all down my back and clothes at a music festival and I wasn’t even sweating that bad. Splat is AWFUL.
