Hey Brad Js letting u in know in our religion were not allowed to cut our hair on Sundays and at night. Also we have to keep every hair that comes from our head, because we was told we would come back in the after life picking up every hair we left behind. And that we was to be buried with our hair. I'm guilty tho, I have not kept my hair which I hope I do not regret doing 😮... ❤ Ya Brad!! Js thought I'd give you insight in our Native American (Yakama Nation Tribe) culture..

This happened to me at a hairstylist, one woman cut my layers and they looked awfully crooked. Two days later I went to the same salon but to her coworker to get it fixed, and she died of laughter asking why I cut my own hair like that, until I told her it was her coworker, she didn't have anything to laugh about it after that 😂

I was lucky enough to have a coworker fix my hair in the middle of this type of situation. I _told_ the girl who handled dying it that I wanted a modified a-line (more choppy with anime pieces at the ears) but she passed my cut off to the new girl, who proceeded to cut a bob, butcher the back while trying to change it to an a-line, and was finally stopped by the stylist in the next chair, who was finishing tinsel in a little girl's hair. The worst thing you could hear as a client from a co-worker: "What are you doing??!" At least at that moment, I knew I wasn't crazy. Girlie couldn't explain, so I told Ana what she was _supposed_ to be doing and her response to newbie was, "Stop. Just, stop, and I'll finish it when I'm done here." Oh, girlie also absolutely drenched the back of my shirt at the sink - the whole back of my shirt. Needless to say, Ana got the tip. She ended up having to partially shave the nape of my neck to get the a-line design. It was definitely an experience 😩

Trimmed up about 1.5 inches on Friday using the tutorial and didn't record it because I already have that style cut so it wasn't dramatic, but my ends feel great and revived my layers. If people would just section, use a comb, wet hair, direct properly, and use hair cutting scissors...but that's too easy.

Hi Brad. So I owe you a thank you. Several years back I switched to the blonde side. I tried doing it myself… totally botched! Would have been one of the worst bleach fails had I recorded it. My saving grace was that I stopped and went first thing the next morning (wearing a baseball cap) to the only place I knew that did walk in color. I new nothing about how to apply bleach, did everything wrong (no sectioning… no starting at the ends). So for several years I was too scared to try again. Only went to the salon. Started watching your channel and felt like I could do it. My poor boyfriend freaked out a bit, he still had trauma from bleach gate of 2019 so was not keen on me trying again. I’m now not bad at doing it myself, kinda alternate between doing my roots myself and going to the salon. I’m legit so proud. I’ve somehow achieved the near impossible, long, bleached and relatively healthy hair. Not without spending a fortune on Olaplex, K18, Kerastase… but it’s worked! Having a lol to myself this evening… just touched it up, everything is looking good! But, I’ve missed one spot at the back of my head. Lifted it up and whipped the camera out to check underneath… it’s even underneath. Just one spot at the back of my head 🤦‍♀️

An old coworker taught me to trim my own hair because that’s all I wanted. I’m not gonna say I mastered it, but I put my hair up for work all the time anyway. Last night I tried a very timid butterfly cut for the first time. Not the best, definitely not terrible. I may cut more off when i get some growth… practice makes perfect 😬

I’ve cut my own hair for the last year with Brad’s butterfly tutorial, my hair is curly and it looks better than the last cut I’ve got in the salon. My hair grows super fast so every 3 months I trim it. Looks fabulous and full! Thanks Brad❤

Brad! Thank you for introducing us to the laifen hairdryer! I bought mine 6 weeks ago and it's the first hairdryer I've ever loved! So worth the money. It's so sleek, quiet & I LOVE the magnetic nozzles. I've never thanked a KZbinr for an ad but this one was a game changer! ❤

I'm wondering what your thoughts on solid shampoo and conditioner bars are? I've been a user of shampoo bars for years , but haven't yet found a solid conditioner bar that I love (Viori is pretty good though) . I think it would be cool to see some genuine thoughts through a hairdresser's eyes on more "minimal waste" product performance.

I currently have the V cut in the back. I ended up with it after I had Tape extensions and my stylist was shaping the hair. (I though she was just layering my extensions not my actual hair) so when I had the tapes out I didn't want to loose length so kept it. I find for me the V shape actually works for me. I have really fine hair and the layering of the V gives me so much more volume and dimension lol. V cut is definitely very 2000's but great for fine hair gurlies. Xx

Went to a salon recently. Very Virgin long copper/dark ginger hair. She cut it way too short, straight across my shoulders, no layers, no bangs, and dyed it dark burgundy instead of light Auburn. Id like to thank you brad, I ended up doing a wolf cut with the two pony tails, and followed a face frame to fix the front. Mine turned out better but I have to wait to dye again the colors I want and grow it more because she removed five to six when I asked for around three. Anyway, you helped my hair. It's much less of a disaster now and actually okay thanks to ur tips.

Last weekend my boyfriend decided to cut his own hair while he was drunk. Usually I cut his hair, and it’s great. But he got that drunk confidence and impulse. O MY GOD. 😬 When I came in and saw it- I had no words. He realized at that moment that he f’ed up. There’s like bald spots 😑 and he told me to fix it. I’m like “honey, the only way to fix this is a very close shave!”

After watching tons of butterfly cut videos, and watching your tutorial AGAIN... I finally took the plunge today. My hair was all the way down past my butt, but it has started to get really thin. I figured why not get some layers in there to blend it all in while giving my scalp some relief and decrease headaches! I should have videoed it. Yes, I WET my hair! 😉 I took off about 8 inches, and I'm happy with it!

I'm convinced that people don't actually know what kind of hair cut they want, so they find a random tutorial and try to follow it. But since it wasn't what they thought, they are confused why it didn't come out. Like the 2nd girl needed to follow your overall hair cut tutorial where you put the hair into 4 sections and cut the length off. Then go back and do face framing layers or whatever she was trying to do. lol

About a month ago I bought Laifen Swift Special not knowing anything about this product. Now I'm in love with diffuser nozzle for this for this hair dryer. My curls are very happy and seems to be more healthy (ink they just don't look like hay after blow drying as with every other hair dryer). And now I see my beloved Brad (King) Mondo saying about this hair dryer? What a coincidence 😄

Flashback to my cousin thinking I somehow inherited my mom's cosmetology skills from just being her daughter and asking me, age 12 at the time, to cut her hair. A drunk monkey with pruning sheers would have done a better job than I did on her hair. I think we are both still traumatized from that experience even decades later. 🤣
