I almost missed it, but the 2nd girl said that she "got the highest volume" when she purchased a better bleach on Amazon! The highest volume that's recommended to use on your scalp is 20 vol and she must've been using 40 vol. each time. That explains why her scalp was burning and her hair was falling out, she did FIVE rounds of high-volume bleach!
@LunarEleven3 ай бұрын
She was damn lucky she's still gorgeous bald 🤣 I've done multiple bleaches back to back with 20 vol and you better believe my scalp burned, though, so after 5 rounds of course it hurt 🤕 anything that lifts a lot of color, especially on such fine and short hair and applied directly to the roots, is going to be caustic unless your scalp is made of rawhide. Not trying to be argumentative but I don't want people to get the idea that you can do this with 20 vol and be guaranteed to not fry your scalp like bacon. She definitely had permanent color on there too so maybe she thought she needed the industrial strength developer 😅 if you're gonna overprocess anyway use a color remover first and see where you're at then, I've had more luck with that but I'm not the pro, just a veteran trained in the field 🪖🫡 Always assume there will be pain, suffering, and tears in the end. Then you will be able to accept anything!

I will never begrudge a hairdresser charging what they charge for colour/bleach. It was a long, complicated journey with some bad advice from the beauty supply store...and she has so much freaking hair that just applying the bleach took two rounds at 2+ hours each time just for the application (she really does have thick hair). She still asks me to do her hair, so you must be doing something right with your tutorials. Thank you!!!

Since you mentioned grays, I would love if you could make a video of what to do to blend the grays without a ton of maintenance and damage. I'm 28, I have a lot of grays, actually it's completely white, which is worse considering I'm naturally dark brown. I've found my first white when I was 20! And I've been struggling for years, what to do to my hair to blend them in. My hair is very healthy, that's what makes it so difficult for me, I don't wanna ruin it 😑
@marsascending4446 ай бұрын
Hairdresser here- if you came to me I’d have two options to talk to you about :) 1) color - permanent color with double pigment or just permanent color really, is fine. Less maintenance here and if you’re just tackling roots it’s not super duper damaging. 2) gloss and home maintenance- glossing would take care of it but not for long. You’d need to do an at home color mask I’d mix up to keep it up if you’d like it to last longer and give it a boost. Both things are tooootally doable at home too. I just wanted to give an opinion 🥰
@berchyzgb44236 ай бұрын
@@marsascending444 I would love to come to you, only one little problem, I'm probably on a different continent than you 😂 I live in Croatia 😊 Isn't permanent color damaging? Maybe I've mix something up, demi, semi, it's too much 😂 I was thinking maybe highlights, but I've had them for years few years back, and my hair was a mess, although at the time I didn't really know how to take care of my curls. And I did some soft highlights two years ago, but didn't like how they turned out, they were too dark for my grays, but also I was scared to keep bleach for longer 😂 Maybe I'll try with gloss thing, do you know how long it lasts till I'll have to do it again? And is it less damaging on the hair than highlights and permanent color?
@berchyzgb44236 ай бұрын
@@marsascending444 sorry for all the questions, but I have one more, what would you do in my place? Color, highlights or gloss? Also, I've never colored my hair, I imagine it would look dull, without any dimension
@marsascending4446 ай бұрын
@@berchyzgb4423 I love the questions! No worries 🥰 and yes! All of the options are damaging- bleaching is the most damaging, followed by (most of the time) permanent color (this is just as damaging if using a high peroxide dye, which is typically used in going lighter), then demi and semi, and gloss after that! I’d personally use regular permanent color. The reason is because 1) greys are more coarse and stubborn than other hair, 2) id love for the color to stay true for longer and less maintenance, especially for the root area and 3) because you’d be likely dying the grey darker to match the hair or go all over a different shade, a lower volume peroxide would be used, which makes it less damaging than you think! Gloss would last anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks depending on your shampoo, how often, how hot of water, water quality etc:) it would not last long at the roots. Permanent color would last probably a month or so before needing to be touched up at the roots, and would still fade quicker at the root but would last way longer than the other options, especially with grey! 💐🤍
@berchyzgb44236 ай бұрын
@@marsascending444 number 3, my grays are all over, you couldn't tell if you saw me at first that I even have them, so I don't know how would I go darker if you mean darker only on grays? If you mean darker all over, I hope I wouldn't have to, I would like the most similar color to mine or just highlights, maybe some caramel, hopefully it would fool the eyes 😉 seems like lesser maintenance than all of the options, although more damaging 😬 Thank you for all the tips, hopefully I'll decide what would be best eventually 😑

@@xoxonicwebbYou have gone to cosmetology school and they didn't teach proper sectioning, foiling, colour theory, toner formulations? People aren't going to buy four toners, including deep warm brown with ash blonde result as result of one process. Not all people are pros here but most know enough not to notice something doesn't add up. Unless that brown toner was on for 2 minutes, there's just no way.

@@margodphd they taught me all of that but doing my own hair vs a clients is way different 😅 i don’t care about my own sectioning whereas when i had clients in school i had a teacher breathing down my neck. i also got 4 toners 1) for got a level 9 which i didn’t 2) to tone out the red band i had 3) to try and tone it ash but it didn’t take and 4) to tone everything down to a level 7 bc that’s all i could achieve i have no reason to lie 😅😅😅

Hey brad! I've been watching you for years and I always thought,"I am never gonna bleach my black hair!!" But you made me bleach it😂 Well, not the whole hair but I bleached some portion of my hair and then dyed it ❤️ Unfortunately we don't have your hair colour here in my country ,but still I loved the result with the used dye. Thank you for encouraging everyone to experiment with their hair safely with good result ❤️

I had a money piece for a long time, and I loved it. Against a friend’s advice, I went to a hairdresser who dated her son. That money piece literally looked like dry ramen noodles. I went to a hairdresser I knew and got a Pixie, cut off all the old color, and damage, and rocked it from 2018 to 2022. Still not coloring, though. My hair feels so much better!

"I've always been platinum blonde, except for all those times that I wasn't platinum blonde because I dyed my hair a bunch of other colours". This first girl is so irritating.

So I used box dye on my gray hair #5. Dark brown. It kinda looked greenish. Hated it. Went to a pro and 5 months, 1000 bucks later,my hair is platinum with gray blend. On my way back to my gray,which I love. Ppl GO to the pros.

As someone who has naturally dark blonde hair, i can attest to what you said Brad! 100% its a pain in the arse. I have blue hair now and had brown, black and darker shades for a few years back when i was 16-20. Never again! kinda sad though. Too much maintenance. Like the SECOND you see your blonde roots, you gotta dye that mother effer or you do look strange 😢

Same here! I like having dark colors but the ashy dark blonde root grow out just looks jacked 😂 I feel like the best colors for grow out for me have been like silvery tinted bleach blonde or dusty purple (which makes sense if you think about the color theory involved).

Brad 🤗 When she started talking in nitrous speed I just went 😳 She was all over everywhere but you’re reaction had me 😆. The young lady with the twists shoulda waited awhile before she bleached. She shoulda prepped her hair to build its strength back up. Braiding/Twisting the hair changes it. I can’t really explain but if you’re not treating your hair while in braids/twists then 🫢. The last young lady…🥺😳🥺😳🥺
