@@mangos9372 honestly the only reason we say box dye is bad is because they use a 40 volume developer which isn’t suited for all hair types. It’s legit the same as professional color. It’s just easier to see a professional because we can judge what hair type what developer and where to start on the head and how long to leave it

I used Manic Panic Vampire Red for like five years on top of my natural black and early grey, and it was vibrant af, blood-red highlights and bright red streaks, loved it. I did the same thing recently with Splat's Midnight Indigo, so now it's basically the same but with an absurdly bright ultramarine tone instead. I love semi and demipermanent colors; they are so fun. Unless someday I go totally silver and decide it would be fun to rock it, I will never go back to purely natural hair. Life is too short and I finally decided I am too vibrant to blend in. If you think the same way about yourself, try it and see how it makes you feel! I swear, it's addictive.

I’ve had bright red hair (semi permanent, la riche) for over 6 months now and in my experience it’s not bad at all. I’ve tried several reds and I don’t bother with cold water either. The bleeding on pillow cases and micro fiber turbans and necklines are more annoying to me, but that isn’t too bad either, in my case. 💖

I dyed mine green a while back and even now when I sleep and begin to sweat I wake up to a green ring around my shirt and my black and white pillow case is now black and mint colored due to staining but I don't mind putting up with it as I adore my hair color, plan on bleaching it a bit then recoloring it for a brighter green as its current a deep green over my natural brown hair

As someone who spent a year as a blonde-to-redhead, red is almost impossible to maintain. It starts changing within a week of coloring and is very affected by sunlight and chlorine. It’s also very difficult to go back to blonde after red. I ended up going with an ultra short pixie to get rid of the red, then grew my natural hair back out, a 2 year process. Consider trying a red wig before coloring your blonde hair red!

Brad is my spirit guide!! I went from waist length black box dye hair (15 years of box dye) to very light blonde then cut my own hair just above my shoulders. I fully admit and own that it wasn’t the best decision and I am by no means a stylist! However, I spent days studying Brad’s videos and adjusted my plan accordingly. The instruction, honesty and passion he puts into what he does saved me from burning my hair and being forced to shave my head. Some people DO keep red hair for a long time! I’ve had red hair for 3 years- started with a semi permanent but loved it for over a year re-doing the semi permanent and decided to just go permanent to not have to recolour every month or so- and still am obsessed everytime I re-do it when it fades. I’m just not me without my red hair. It is one of those things that just makes me mentally happy. 😊 my natural hair was dirty blonde and just always made me feel boring, red is just more me ❤️ *oh and I use professional hair colour not box dye! Dkm 😂*
