I feel like the last girl went to the salon to fix her color. There is NO WAY that her hair was even. I had 2 tone blonde before , and it is tough to get it even (without professional help)

Yes, either that or she cut off the darker ends herself. However, her pale skin & bright blue eyes looked like she had been a natural dark blond, & I've noticed their hair is easier to box bleach. During pandemic I did hair of several blond friends using only Loreal bleach & purple shampoo & conditioners (but the salon/ high end version). I mix the bleach with the purple & foil it on. If there are brassy spots after, I bailiage or foil the purple onto the hair & process for 20 min. It looks great but the main challenge I have is when someone with long hair asks me to make the ends much lighter than the rest. Even with foils + heat, I struggle to get the ends very bright

@@amberslaughter8439 yea, some people think it's impossible to get good results with box bleach but personally that's all I've ever used. I have naturally dark hair so dark it was almost black but at 12 I lightened it to red then bleached it blonde and it was perfect, nobody believed i did it myself. I've been using box bleach ever since and I'm 39 now. Recently went from a dark purple to light blonde with 2 bleachings at home, I use ash blonde to kill any orange/brass after bleaching then purple shampoos with lots of deep conditioning and my hair is long, nearly to my butt with little to no damage. So I don't really get the disdain for box dyes as in all these years I've never had any problems, but I guess it depends on a person's hair type, color and other factors

I will never get enough of these "box dye" reaction vids lol. I'm no expert but during the pandemic I used Loreal Feria ultimate platinum (or something) on my roots & it worked perfectly. But my natural hair is considered an 8 Ash Blond, so I think it's easy to lift. I just use half of the box & put little foils into the front

Sometimes they say 20 volume, but you might be actually getting 40 volume,it depends on how much Ammonia they put in it,And from my experience you just can't trust it,EVER!!

The strangest thing to me is that my mum uses the garnier box dye and has been for years. She a a brunette and she dyes her hair blonde about 4 times a year at home. Her hair is incredibly healthy, and it’s so so soft. She’s the exception, not the rule I guess haha

Currently a cosmetology student , the reason why the second girls hair looked good is because not only did she have virgin hair but she was a level 7, if that same color would have been added to someone with darker hair it wouldn’t have been the same results . I feel like a lot of people don’t understand that the starting color MATTERS . I always hear girls say “ my stylist lied to me and said I couldn’t go blonde in one try but my friend did “ well the friend had light brown hair and the girl who’s stylist told her that has dark box dyed hair . Not the same
