If I were in the market for a property of this sort and couid afford it, I'd definitely come take a look at it if already didn't have a contract on it. This house is really spectacular. They did a first class, top notch rehab on this house. They spared no expense to have the job done right. Somebody is going to get a fine house. I love seeing all the wonderful properties that you feature in this beautiful part of Kentucky. Harrodsburg is a lovely town.

Just for grins I’ve seen you go thru homes for sale and was wondering why you open refrigerators and comment on the contents and open up drawers in bedrooms and the list goes on.. Personally I’d never use your agency but I guess you are a favorite
@BradSimmons3 ай бұрын
@jerrysknob - I just figure a little entertainment and a laugh or two is better than droning on, 'this is the living room' -- or the dreaded Steven King style of saying nothing and walking thru. 30 or more mins of no fun might get boring - for me too. I guess you can't please everyone - my goal is to get people to watch and come back - and feel welcome. We are not for everyone - that's why they make 31 flavors.

Just an FYI quartz countertops are not heat resistant in the way most people would assume. For instance you cannot put a boiling pot of water on a quartz countertop it will melt it or damage it. Natural stone you can put a molten iron bar on it and it wouldn't hurt it. Also wine would only stain granite stone if it is not sealed. Which all granite stone countertops you buy today are sealed stone. Quartz is essentially marble dust held together with epoxy glue. Also quartz is not as impact resistant as granite. You can hit a granite countertop with a hammer and it probably wouldn't damage it. Quartz countertop would leave a big chip or shatter. There are a lot of pros and cons between the two. But I think in most people's opinions granite wins out overall. Quartz is popular because it's man-made so you can make it whatever color you want cheaper. Versus stone or granite countertops which some color combinations are pretty rare and expensive.

Brad “that’s a right for me” 1000 fold except I have no money 💰🤣 to buy, upkeep, taxes, housekeeper, gardener & more 🤣
@pinayladyoz80444 ай бұрын
Granite (natural stone) is better than Quartz (an engineered stone), if you accidentally pour red wine into granite it will be fine, with quartz if you pour wine or drop sharp knife to it then you will have serious problem with your stone. My father is stone mason and I have granite stone in my kitchen. All of my kitchen and pantry drawers are retractable as they are very good, it is easy to find stuff when you need it.

Brad, what is with swamp in the front of the property at 33:39 ? Do we have to pay extra for the mosquitoes? Looks like some hillbilly got drunk and their pickup got stuck in the front yard next to the swamp. I don't need the locals poaching deer in my front yard and screwing up the grass.
@BradSimmons3 ай бұрын
@tkinsey472 - yes sir - it is called a pond. Ponds are built here for fishing with the kids and watering stock. It is low because we are in a drought.

During the “Mr. Roger’s” part, instead of binoculars, if you were my new neighbor, you’d bring a drone to snoop into your neighbors’ properties. 🙄 Seriously…the NEW NEIGHBOR, not existing neighbors did that here. Really hate drones…unless they’re used to cover terrain or find someone/something that’s lost. But even realtors here use them to snoop when listing someone’s house. And post photos of adjoining backyards, which is so wrong. Needs to stop! That’s my PSA to all drone owners…do unto others as you want done unto you! And if you don’t care about privacy, assume your neighbors do! Thank you, thank you 🙏🏼

@BradSimmons3 ай бұрын
@jasontaylor9871 - that's a mindset. I grew up on welfare and food stamps with a single mom - no dad. We ate a LOT of store brand macaroni and cheese, meat and cheese ends from the deli and literally we were allowed to root through the old and moldy produce just before they put it in the dumpster. I knew I wanted better and more. I used to pour through a magazine of land for sale - and the Robb Report. Inch by inch I surrounded myself with inspirational people, followed people who had what I wanted - a supportive and inspirational girl, nice house, nice business, nice cars. My first real hero was a guy in the Auto Body business, and an Industrial Electrician. My mom's dishwasher broke, I fixed it, then my girlfriend's Aunt's dishwasher broke, I fixed it and she gave me $20. I thought, man - if I could do just 20 of these a week, that would be $400. Boom, in 1981, when I was 17 - I was in the appliance business. that same year, I was able to buy my first HUD repo house, I sold it and doubled my money and bought a 4 plex and 5 small pieces of land with owner finance. I was off to the races.
