I love this line. I really hope they dont cancel it. It doesn't look like you were able to compare him to any of the new 52 figures but he fits perfectly with them. And most 7" figures dc made which is the biggest selling point for me. We will finally have a fully articulated justice league. That's not a stylized version. That fiits with everyone else Sadly I have a feeling that this line will get canceled because people cry to much that they cant mix them with other lines...from different companies..this is what its come to. Such a pathetic way to go.

I wish dc essentials had more accessories or at least more interchangeable hands. Like I wish they could give Batman and Superman a PAIR of fists, instead of just one 🤷‍♂️ Especially for their price. I really wish Batman had the black cowl too.

Great review! There's actually a trick to the ankles to help them stand up if they get weak, where you can have the hinge move from side to side, instead of back and forth. It helps my Flash and Reverse Flash pull off some AWESOME poses, and reminds me of the Revoltech joints. I was very hesitant about this line, but if I can trust that DCC commits to it, I'll be picking up each wave.

Mostly asking because I might get that Deathstroke, but I am less inclined to if he'd tower over my other figures.

I just really want a marvel legends sized last rights dc icons batman but i will gladly settle for this batman since that's never going to happen. I love this color scheme for batman, I have enough black and great batman figures to last a lifetime. I just wish it had a different/classic symbol and a wider cape but I plan on a cloth custom cape for this guy, if I have the time, might even change the symbol. Sucks that as usual I will have to pay more for these since I have to buy them at comic shops so I can sort through and pick one with paint apps I can live with. One of the most important factors when deciding on what batman figures I buy is their headsculpts, so many potentially great figures have been ruined by having terrible head sculpts. Deathstroke is a bit disappointing but I still like this design, especially after owning the son of batman releases and the previous icons deathstroke.

Absolutely love this new line. just got the set of 4 today. so much better than icons imo. bigger, cheaper, and minimal accessories...right up my ally...hated paying so much for Icon figures that were small and didn't care how many hands, or other crap in the box. If they had more value like a BAF instead of all the stupid hands and small crap I would have liked them more.

I think this line won't succeed. They might have better articulation than dc icons, but they are not very apealling IMO. Many will preffer to buy the upcoming dc multiverse than these ones, especially since mattel seems to be doing things much better, they'll have accesories, they're on a real 6 inch scale, they'll be cheaper and easier to get worldwide. It's sad, because dc icons were very cool, but I supouse not many people cared about them, And again, I think they won't care for these either.

Once again dude, your production quality is better than any other action figure reviewer on KZbin, I'm extremely impressed with the effort that you put into making this review! Personally I already pre-ordered Superman and the Flash but I'm not impressed with the Batman and Deathstroke figures. I think their arms are a bit too long, especially in comparison with those other Batman figures from the same scale, hopefully I'll love the Superman figure, fingers crossed!!!

Im actually wathing this, becasue I purchased this batman and the last rights icon batman. Im trying to make an actual true 1/12th scale batman that is well articulated as well. Its tough to make a 6' 2" batman in 1/12 when the height range of 6 inch figures also do not sit in bruce waynes batman height. I was watching to see how about going of ybriding the two and this may help me land the closest to proper scale.

Great sculpt on that Batman. Horrible choice of colors to mix the blue and PURPLE in the cape! That Deathstroke though... it looks pretty rushed. Perhaps his design is that minimal, but it just doesn't look like that much attention to detail was put into it, not as much as Batman, which still has some shortcomings of its own. Thanks for the review though. Just checking it out, but I've already decided not to get into this line.

The Marvel Legends mentality of a reused buck for this line is disappointing to me. I say Marvel Legends, but what they’re doing here seems even worse/lazier because at least Legends has different proportioned bodies for different characters so Spider-Man and Cap aren’t the same size. Here? It looks like Superman will be about as bulky as Barry Allen Flash or Dick Grayson which just doesn’t sit well with me. Their proportions look off as well (monkey arms!). This makes the reuse even worse because now I know these proportions will pretty much be carried over to most every male character in the line The lack of accessories is disappointing too. Man, I’ll miss DC Icons’ unique sculpts and accessories. I think I’ll stick with just tracking down the rest of those and not even pick up any of these guys

So DC Collectibles got off to a bone-head start with their Icons line by making nice looking figures but that were about a half-inch too short. They then cancel the line after fixing the problem with their appropriately-scaled 7 figure Rebirth set. Then launch an entirely new line with figures that are too TALL to pose with six inch scale figures. And omit peg holes. And reuse the same body sculpt. No wonder fans of the company are becoming turned off.
