Y'know, I am a bit critical with certain characters too, like the Flash figures, who is my favorite character. It's normal, and we are here to know the pros and cons of the figure, so you are doing a great job.

I think the torso is too small for Superman. Superman should've had a wider/bulkier upper body.

Superman looks great and he has a really nice head sculpt. The outfit and cape look great as well. However, it's a shame the figure has paint issue when it comes to the face, as you've already mentioned. The paint is a bit sloppy at the top of the belt. The neck is way too skinny. The ankle joints are too loose and they make it difficult for Superman to stand up. Having said that, a display base or display stand would've definitely been a welcomed addition. With that aside, thanks as always Spot. I really appreciate it!

Nicely sculpted and articulated figure. The main downfall is the weak ankle joints make it easy to fall over. The method I use to secure the ankles is Pledge floor polish. When it drys it gums up the joints and tightens them.

So other than the MAFEX JL Superman, this is the best Superman figure out there. Hopefully we get better quality control and the 'Reborn' Rebirth outfit released. Was really looking forward to that look before they changed it late into this figure's production.

I like the smaller S-shield on his chest, But they forgot the Yellow S-shield on the cape, the belt loops are not painted red and the spit curl on his forehead is backward it should make a S.

This is easily the first Superman figure I’ve seen in quite a while that I actually really want to get my hands on... Because, to me, most of the rest of them have had really bad looking head sculpts. The majority of which have looked more so to me like Frankenstein’s monster, than the Man of Steel. This one is a whole lot better, as far as I’m concerned. Even in spite of the thinness of neck, and QC issues, which is a shame. But still, overall, I really like it.

I know it has the zombie look, but with that does it look like a superman to you? It's my favorite superman and I wish they made one without the zombie scratches and such. Thank you

Very nice head sculpt on Supes. What’s with the extra paint below his underoos? Definitely a noticeable blemish. In regard to the skin tone you are definitely right about too much paint on his face. And that neck is for sure way too skinny. It’s sad about the ankles being too loose and no peg holes in the feet making it difficult for the man of steel to stand. Would have been nice to have interchangeable hands. Not bad on articulation. Thanks for a great review Spot!

Essentials can stand if you move their feet away from each other, \ / if you place their feet like this \ / they will stand perfect!!!

My problem with the figure that I got is that the ankle joints are not only way too loose, they don’t even allow the bottoms of the feet to meet flush with a flat surface that he stands on. It’s really bad in my figure and the only way I can manage it so he stands is to turn the feet inwards slightly so that he ends up looking pigeon toed. Which is a real shame because otherwise it’s a great looking figure.

They made one generic body mold for all the figures. That is the problem with this line. I had preordered these figures but canceled them. I think this line was rushed out the door.

Don't change your reviews at all. Be critical if need be. Too many "reviewers" out there cater to figure companies aka Hasbro etc so they get free stuff. The Mattel line up of DC figures had the worst articulation I had seen. The Multiverse figs I mean. The other DC line ICONS were much better. I prefer a straight up honest review EVERYTIME obviously. I mean we are dropping between $20 - $100 on some of these figures. Anyway GREAT review as always. I'm looking forward ro a Black Manta figure.

Things like sculpt, and articulation are a matter of preference. Quality control is where reviewers need to be critical.

I have an issue in the paint of my superman dc essentials figure on the big S on his chest has a painted blue on the S maybe they just make a mistake while they are painting the colours

great figure but why that keep changing his hair part to me its looks better on left side than the right in know in the 40-60 it on left in the 70 they switch over to the right they should kept like that in the movies Christopher Reeve wore the part on the right when his Clark Kent and switch it to the left when he became superman but was alright there

Fact the icons line came with so many accessories but figs weren’t in scale, and the essentials line has god the scale bit better with dc figs but have no accessories why can’t we even have few hands or even still same as the icons line

My complaints are: They didn't paint the belt loops, material feels more like clay than plastic, should've have cloth goods cape because plastic gets in the way when playing, there's no symbol on the cape and the ball joint for the feet are difficult to pose.
