@@robertmartinjr.4537 I was one of the very few Raiders fans that wasn't delusional before the season started. I can't even count the amount of times I was called a "fake fan" or to "find another team". I knew hiring AP was a mistake from the start. I knew what I was watching. This is pretty much what I expected. The guy had no business being an NFL head coach. The roster was bad, and somehow AP made it worse. He had a worse record than Josh McDaniels........ let that sink in.

That's all on Davis for hiring him in the first place because players wanted him. Davis has no idea what he's doing. AP had an opportunity afforded very few people, and he took it. Can't blame him for that. But AP had very little to work with combined with minimal experience. This is all on Davis. He couldn't even fire him right.

Not AP’s fault he got hired. The reason is due to bad hiring decisions in the past snowballing to a point where MD had to take the risk. AP was not able to build a staff and wasn’t going to be able to going forward. He’s a great motivator but his lack of experience was showing.

This was basically the same staff thats been in place the last 3yrs though, the one major change was adding Luke Getsy which was APs decision so hard to defend him just being a bad coach

How many more head coaches is he gonna run through how many more general managers is he gonna run through before he gets a clue that he’s the problem Antonio Pierce was not the problem, but he was not gonna be the solution because you know he was never ever going to get any type of leeway to make this team good.

As usual... my issue is, give the new driver the same car, don't get mad at the previous driver because he lost the race in a Ford Focus then give the next driver a Formula 1 race car. If it's the coach's fault then give him the same personnel and the same expectations

Mayo and Pierce were hired and not overly criticized cause of social pressure. They didn’t have the experience what so ever to even be considered they took the job if they were smart knowing they didn’t have well over enough experience they saw an opportunity and took a shot who could say they wouldn’t do the same. But we want to criticize the owners whose only tangible function is paying other people to know how to put in place the people to do the job. And when you have a society that’s been going down this DEI score of hiring instead of merit it floods all markets and you’re seeing it play out in the open. This kind of disfunction is happening everywhere. But let’s put the blame at the top cause he’s got the money so he’s supposed to be the smartest guy in the room and should have known better. These are grown men who didn’t know what they didn’t know but they took the job anyway. They should have never been offered the job and they should have know better that they couldn’t do the job whether it was from a lack of intelligence, resources or both especially Mayo who’s been inside those walls since 2019.

Mayo and Pierce will both used as stopgap coaches to get to a coach that the Patriots and the raiders really wanted and that's a damn shame. If the NFL is this real coaching fraternity as they talk about then they should hold these organizations accountable.

A.P Coach mistakes. 1.Hired a horrible O.C 2.Named Garner Minshew QB1 3.Let the Boat with the O.C and Minshew SINK until week 14 lol. 4. NEW O.C comes in and QB#2 A.O.C WIN GAMES. AP was never qualified in the first place. The Raiders are the only team stupid enough to hire him. It was a mistake from the beginning, something that anyone thinking rationally saw coming a mile away. AP was all bark and no bite. No idea how to manage things in-game. No idea how to game plan. He didn't call plays. The guy was a glorified cheerleader who didn't know how to use timeouts. Every decision he made on 4th down was wrong. He challenged plays that didn't have a chance of being overturned. He claims he saw how good Sincere McCormick was in practice, yet continued to let Zeus and Mattison get 2 YPC until both of them were hurt and AP had no other choice. Honestly I can keep going. But what's the point? The Raiders need to hire someone competent. Not a snake oil salesman.

@@samsonlite3334 meh. I'd give him about 25% of the blame. There's only 32 of these jobs, was AP supposed to say no? Mark Davis and Tom Telesco get about 50% of the blame. The other 25% goes to none other than Maxx Crosby, the guy who threatened to "explore his options" if AP wasn't hired. Hopefully Maxx has learned his lesson, just because you're a good player doesn't mean you should be allowed to have an opinion on the coaching staff.

AP should have never been hired but Davis had to because the entire football world last season said AP deserves the job. His flaws and lack of experience was exposed this year. He coached scared in every game. Punt or kick a fg. He made mistake after mistake in every game. Then for him to be smiling and laughing on the sidelines after their 4th loss in a tie was a terrible look. He dyes the post game presser and is smiling and happy. No other head coach would be in there smiling and happy after poor effort on the field and losing 4 in a row. Also heard he was out gambling and drinking til 3am before the Panthers blow out win. Another bad look. Crosby called him and the staff out around week 12-13 saying there was no accountability and no structure in practices. Which says the coach has no idea what he’s doing

AP coached himself out of a job , plain and simple. He did absolutely nothing different then the previous coaches and administrators the past 15 years. I would bet money that if AP would've delivered a mediocre 9-8 or 8-9 season he'd still gabe a job , but he was status quo not one step outside the box.
