dude I love your passion, -- but imo the Brady Tkachuk focus is misplaced right now. These conference finals playoff series are showing how badly the Devils need a real 1A goalie. Fitzgerald massively dropped the ball and he allowed this team to regress to mediocrity. At a minimum the Devils need a real goalie and they need to muscle up to deal with Rangers. It should be clear to everyone that Bettman and the league is not going to suspend a dirty goon like Trouba or hold him accountable. Fitzgerald should be repulsed by what the Rangers are doing right now.

Seriously, this crossroads moment reminds me a lot of Scott Stevens when he was traded from St. Louis to the Devils for Brandon Shanahan. It’s one of those trades that could potentially change the franchise to a Stanley Cup winner multiple times. I don’t think Fitz is going to be too influential even though he is family, remember Brady has no trouble mixing it up with Matt at any point during a game. Perhaps the biggest draw are the Hughes brothers and that connection along with Nico that gets him to Jersey, but what about his salary?
