She really is a genius in her own right. I've seen her grow from a child prodigy pianist to this mature young lady. She's more mature of age now and though I'm not certain, I think she's back in the Philippines.

Ms Cecile Licad is a product of the old school as she was mentored by 3 illustrious pianists of their generation, most prominent of whom was Rudolf Serkin and the two others of Russian descent. Perhaps it was Serkin who might have educated her on Brahms owing to his German background, yet I find it a happy turn of event that Licad turned most of her energy performing a lot of Chopin and Liszt. Admittedly she also loves Gottschalk, but that's probably another story.
