I've been crocheting for 50 years and this is the most unusual and beautiful pattern I have ever seen. Your tutorial is wonderful, your explanations are very clear and so easy to follow, your voice is very soothing to listen to. As a longtime crocheter, I had to smile at all the questions below your video. Sometimes, people get too hung up on following a pattern to the last stitch, just pick up a hook and some yarn and let it flow!

It is gorgeous. It has led many people to making it. Go to The Crochet Crowd FB Page and search Jonah and you will see it. His mother said that it was Michel Sellick from The Crochet Crowd who inspired him at age 5 to crochet.

Just finished crocheting this and I LOVE it. I did it in mustard yellow and it looks beautiful. I've also added a single crochet stitches all the way round to finish it as my edges look terrible as it is. And I've used wooden toggles instead of buttons to make it more masculine as it is for my husband. This took me SOOO long to finish though. With a 5.5mm hook, size 4 yarn. I did 31 loops and I've used ~476 yds of yarn. If I do another one, I'd use bulkier yarn so it won't take as long. Anyway, thank you for sharing this.

There is a 4th button that can attach to the back of the scarf but it is completely optional and is only for the purpose of hiding a tip that protrudes from the scarf and gives it a better finish

Hello. So I was watching your video and was confused by something. Did you do 61 rows which would result in about 30 of the braiding loops or 61 rows as in 61 of the full braided loops going length wise? I guess I am asking what you consider a row when stating the length you did for this beautiful cowl.

I did 34 chains but my current width is only 7 inches. Will that be enough? Or should I start over? I'm currently on row 18 (9 rows of loops)
@brief4023 жыл бұрын
@@PriyankaBorpujari honestly this pattern is more about the "loops look". You can always take the work and hold it up to your own body to see if the size is nice. So width would be measured as chin downward. As long as 7in is long enough for you it'll work perfectly

Love this pattern! But something doesn’t add up. Are we supposed to double crotchet through the same chain as the last double crotchet before each big loop? Because if we start on the 4th chain, and do 6 dc (since the first is the 4 skipped chains) that’s 10 of the chains so far, and we have 9+9+7=25 more chains, so that should be 35 chains in all, right? So confused 😕
@KarenValladares6 жыл бұрын
Sorry 😐I meant they are DC 7 TOTAL so you will make DC 6 and 4 skipped chains count as DC 1 it makes DC 7 ( DC 6 + 1)

brandihelma14 You are correct. I came up short twice. It appears that you must go back into chain #31 for DC2. Then the loops appear at the DC’s in chains #26, #17, and #8, leaving 7 to finish row one (although the video seems to have a tail of extra chains).
