I've made this but didn't do any buttonholes. My buttons fit just fine through the natural holes between the stitches. Always another way! Thanks so much. - I really enjoy your videos. You are a good teacher!

I enjoy crocheting the Y,all Scarf. It is very useful in the winter months. I am adding a pocket behind the bottom side for the keys. That is very handy.

Made your scarf pattern in 1 day. So easy thanks... I even had one 1 inch button and 2 smaller and it still worked with 1 chain skip that your did for the button holes. Wish I can post my picture. I did a white yarn with a teal blue came out beautiful. Thanks!

You teach very well. It has been 30 years since I have crocheted and then it wasn't very much. Thank you so much for helping me get started with new projects for Christmas. It meant a lot to me that I could download for free the written pattern for backup. I had to watch over and over until I got it but I did. Sincerely, Kathleen

G'day, Clare! Missed you - glad to have found you again. A friend wants to learn how to crochet and showed me the item she wants - and I found that YOU have something close to what she wants. Yippee. You look wonderful, darling. You still remind me of my friend Jo who lives in Melbourne.

Thank you for the free videos. I am self taught and all the help I have gotten on You Tube is amazing. I created my own pattern for a hook case for larger needles which I will share once I write up the pattern which I am sure people will want. Thank you again. You are amazing!

I will definitely be making this for my mother this year. She hates the winter and gets cold easily, so she loves a good scarf or cowl to keep her neck warm. This is my first year at crocheting but I'm fairly confident that I can do this! The hardest bit will be getting the buttons even with the holes...I suck at perfectly lining up buttons to their matching holes, I can never get it just right.

Yay!!!! I just finished this off today! I started it last night and was able to finish today.. I made in Red Heart Super Saver in the color Gold and used brown buttons.. I gifted it to a friend and she loved it! I made it the exact specs that you used and it was just fine. It is wide enough to fold down a bit around the neck for a slight variation in the look. The weight of the fabric is just right and I definitely recommend this same yarn to use with the 2 strands. Can't thank you enough for this great demo and I look forward to making up more of these in different colors! Cheers and keep up the great work!

You’re quite welcome! As it will be the start of fall here I was drawn to the colors and pattern as I had done one similar. Growing up in the 70’s I got so sick of oranges and rust and every other color associated with that era lol! I cringe upon hearing bell bottoms! 😂. But lately I’ve come to appreciate some of them again especially around the fall and this cowl just spoke to me. The pattern is easy and the buttons you chose are beautiful! And I have a bunch of the color or very similar in Red Heart Soft that I bought on sale so it’s perfect! Thanks again!

@CrochetwithClare
@CrochetwithClare 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Kim, thank you so much! I am not sure on adjusting the size, I guess I wouldn't go too much larger because generally head sizes are the same regardless of body shape. If the one you have made is snug on a smaller body I would make it no more than 3 inches longer. Please let me know how you go with it, I would be interested to know the result
