[Braiins OS] Autotuning Firmware Installation on a Single Device

How to install Braiins OS autotuning firmware onto a single ASIC with just two commands using the BOS Toolbox. This procedure only works for devices with stock-based firmwares that have SSH unlocked (pre-2019). It automatically migrates your current configuration to Braiins OS.

I figured it out with the help of tech support and was super exited to give it a try and test it out for future liquid cooling, but I couldn’t get one of the boards to hash. I was already down one board. Tried rebooting, different settings, etc., but ultimately had to go back to manufacture firmware.

That's odd, miners feedback (especially for S9s) is that Braiins OS+ actually helped them resolved many HW issues they used to have. Give it more more try with the guidance of our tech support, we can send you some surprise for your troubles when you succeed:)

@@Braiins-Mining thanks for your reply. I will give this a try again. Particularly since I only use Slush-pool it doesn’t make sense not to use Braiins OS. I was hoping that it might bring the 3rd board back but surprised When only one board would hash. For the working board it said something about not received the right code back for chip 17. I could be wrong, but something along this lines. Once I reinstall Braiins I’ll work with tech support to see if we can resolve. Thanks again.

Mine keeps saying “tuner status disabled” No matter how many times I keep enabling it, upon save settings or reset it returns to status disabled

First make sure the Manager is not connected to the device, also remove all custom values on Miner > configuration page (leave all fields as default). Then enable tuner in autotune section and save, apply & wait until the autotuning finishes (we recommend to wait up to 6 hours but if a good quality miner it should finish way sooner). Hola 👋 Parece que tienes bloqueado el acceso SSH: Bitmain bloqueó el acceso SSH hace un año, por lo que si estás utilizando una versión actualizada del firmware original, no puedes instalar ningún firmware de forma remota a través de SSH. Buen día minero 👋 Parece que tienes un sistema operativo incompatible con la instalación vía Web En la primera pestaña de tu minero que debería decir "System" en la parte de "Overview" debes buscar la línea que dice "File System Versión" y debe tener el año 2018. Si tiene el año 2019, el sistema no podrá ser cambiando por medio del paquete Web, por lo que tendrás que instalar Braiins OS por medio de una SD, puedes guiarte en nuestra documentación a continuación docs.braiins-os.com/plus-es/Setup/2_advanced.html#imagen-para-tarjeta-sd Si necesita más ayuda, no dudes en consultarnos nuevamente o si los Problemas continúan invitándonos a Unirte a nuestro grupo (Telegram) donde tenemos soporte. Hi 👋 are you sure that's a correct password? It's the same password that you use, when connecting to the miner via SSH. What version of Windows are you using? You could try to enter the command in PowerShell, instead of CMD. Or you can flash Braiins OS+ directly via web interface of the miner. Best regards

Hola minero 👋 por defecto, los mineros que se conectan con Slush Pool mientras minen con Braiins OS+ no pagarán ninguna comisión de pool - 0%. Si elige minar con Slush Pool mientras utiliza Braiins OS+, recibirá un reembolso total por la comisión del pool recogida. En otras palabras, Slush Pool todavía recoge la tasa estándar del 2% al momento de minar, pero toda se le envía de vuelta a una fecha programada de cada mes. El reembolso es distribuido automáticamente el primer lunes de cada mes. braiins-os.com/plus

There is literally a "Backup / Flash Firmware" option in the System dropdown, I believe you can flash the original Bitmain (antminer) firmware there. This basically the same process as you did in SSH, but manually this time. Correct me if I'm wrong, I didn't do it myself and don't know why you'd want this.

@@brandhark7935 autotuning process can take few hours - it takes time for the algorithm to figure out the optimal performance settings. Also, try adjusting the power limit - that way you can squeeze out more hashrate.

Le pire firmware que j'ai pu tester , j'ai un s17+ qui est bloqué sur ce firmware , impossible a désinstaller , de plus impossible de regler le voltage des cartes pour eviter qu'il ne les desactive BREF un très mauvais firmware qui doit avoir une tonne devfee bien dissimuler
