I fully support the federal government of Nigeria on this tax reform bill. The South and the Middle Belt should come together to resist the agenda by the North to make a mess of the tax reform bill. The clamor is just a way to negotiate specific terms in the bill to favor them, making it ineffective. This is what they did to the PIB, and now the PIA is a mess, creating more problems in the industry than solutions. I don't understand the cry of the governor of Bauchi, but he needs to realize that we are the people and want the tax reform bill passed without doctoring it.

Rather than fighting with the federal government, let the northern governors channel the same energy to fight insecurity in their region. This is the only way they can improve their IGR and attract investors. The period of waiting for money generated from other states to sponsor their expensive lifestyle is over. The earlier we all realize that the country is broke and do the needful the better for us. Let them also be reminded no nation depends entirely on loans for survival in the long term
