You are the first brilliant mind I have seen in recent times from northern Nigeria. You need educate Ndume, please. He said he studied abroad, but the education he has doesn't reflect in him at all. He argues like an illiterate. He does said he hasn't gone through the reform but, he opposes it. He sounded like a very big fool.

People like Ndume should be village palace secretary and not Senator
@cosmashono7665Ай бұрын
The problem is not Ndume. The problem is lack of trust in the system. This bill should have gone through thorough discussion to enlighten Nigerians enough to see the merits. The rush hush approach to it does not help matters at all. And you don't need to sound condescending of the north to make your point. Saying this is the first brilliant mind you've seen from the North clearly shows how insular you are. Perhaps one that has never left the confines of the West.

They want to gather money for another criminal to steal. Where are the billions saved from the oil subsidy removal? Iran is an oil-producing country; how much is fuel price in Iran? Oil experts should answer that question. Until we establish the" Chinese treatment, "nothing will change.

Atimes when you see some exceptionally brilliants speak from the North (e.g Sanusi, Sen. Also Baba Yusuf., I am your hard fan and also a subscriber to your channel. But I need to let you know the North has the largest number of beggers. Simple! 🇳🇬 God Bless Nigeria 🇳🇬

I think if the FG said that every state should use their own inland revenue and submit a quota to the FG, it may solve this problem. Is there any need to share from other states revenue. Is this not the problem some states are not thinking of production to increase their revenue.

I have not read the tax bills though have seen snipets of it. However my concern essentially border on our having public sector that is very huge on corruption and lacking in fiscal discipline, even worse in this government. No matter how hard you try, our fiscal policies will not significantly yield intended outcomes in this atmosphere of corruption and weak institutions. I want to first see laws and policies aimed at reigning in the public sector rascality, block leakages, cut wastage, and I want to see efforts at building strong institutions. Only then you will have proper assessment of impact of economic policies before coming up with these reforms. To me, this tax reforms is like winking in the dark. Again, knowing how this government turned Lagos tax reform into individual behemoth laying pipe from state treasury to private account will make anyone weary of hidden details especially when his Lagos boys are the ones driving the process. Have we asked who will be the revenue collectors when FIRS is scrapped?

Im so tired of all these unintelligent conversations. And my concern is about the journalists who ask these questions. Nigeria is just going round in circles economically. Until the Fed govt who is more than half of national allocation gets directly involved jn the micro economics every day Nigerian will continue to suffer while the useless talks about Macro economics continue all 4 yrs.

You guys are always talking about the big companies to pay more, did the big companies care to pay more because they don't care for these reasons. - if the government add ten naira they will add hundred naira on price. - some people are saying no tax on food, education so on but they forget that if you add tax on cement it will touch food education and so on. That's what buhari finance minister said when they want to add VAT she sai it didn't affect the poor, which is rubbish. The poor is always affected because they are last consumers.

So there’s still people like this in the north?, sir baba Yusuf I really wish you can start a master class in the north to educate the northern politicians because it seems that all of them did not go through standard education, there’s a say that common sense isn’t common. You’re a great access to the north. This is not an insult to the north politicians but we can’t have such people and think we can build a productive nation. They all about their selfish interests.
