Moose populations have declined in recent years and scientists still aren't sure of the cause. A brain parasite, normally found in white-tailed deer, may be partially to blame.

@@ronron208 actually, the fungus from the last of us does exist, and there is an incident where one of the villages the pilgrims set up had an actual zombie outbreak. Only evidence was a half destroyed journal. A hunting party of around 5 went out and one man came back, covered in blood and bite marks. He was to be put on trial for murder. He got sick before the sentencing, and went insane. He was able to kick doors down, and bit everything in site. They put him down, but it was already too late according to the journal. About a week later and the town was burned because the problem got out of hand. The survivors froze to death, and some resorted to canibalism. But canibalism was already a thing in a lot of those villages, as food shortages were common. The things they don't teach kids in school because they're too graphic.

Had been wandering aimlessly through two provinces because of the worms they said . Called the city, shot him down with a dart and took him on a flat bed. He was injured so we were told to do heavy cleanup on the blood in the snow in case it was contagious 😥

There is a mushroom in Eastern europe forests that is being supposed killing parasites "Cantharellus cibarius - Kurka". Maybe planting it in these areas would be the solution. They contain Hitinmannose.

Politicians aren’t striving to control your mind and make the world a living hell (at least in the US and Europe), they are usually actually trying to do what they wanted to growing up... help the people

nah people do that to themselves. politicians jsut take advantage of it. they kinda have to. they are not smart people. more than likely they bought their way through school, and lack the capacity to lead. so they exploit because they have no idea how to do theri damn jobs. some to the point wehre they jsut try to take over period. like your putins, stalins, hitlers, and others like them. but they are only slighytly smaller than the room fulla ninnies.

no they have no diea what they are doing and so try to exploit for their own gain. without realizing they are nothing without the people they are exploiting.

What if a hunter or just a regular scavenger hunts a dead or alive affected moose, and he doesn't know anything about this disease, then make the moose's meat into food? Can that parasite transfer into the host and may probably start a zombie apocalypse? Or my mind's just making this up?
@Nhxn_

@ChristopherX30
@ChristopherX30 7 жыл бұрын
The meat of the animal isn't affected. You could still eat the moose. I don't think this particular parasite can affect a human, at least not based upon what I've read.

most animal diseases are not transmissible to humans. what you are describing is called a zoonotic disease, meaning it normally exists in an animal but in rare circumstances can be transmitted to humans. some include lyme disease, west nile virus, and anthrax. what you are suggesting is not out of the realm of possibility...tapeworms that live in animals can also live in humans. humans ingest undercooked meat with the eggs (cysticercosis) in them, the eggs hatch normally and the tapeworm larvae begin infestation. its possible that a parasite with the ability to create eggs with high environmental tolerance levels (which already exists in nature) could survive cooking or could somehow attach themselves to bare skin (wash your hands!) and make their way into the brain. all survival variations are a definite potentiality of evolution; just because we have not yet encountered it does not mean it does not already exist or that its possibility does not exist.
