we use smps in charger not only to make its size smaller but also use it in wide voltage range(90v -270v).the 4 pin component which you called ic chip is known as opto coupler .and which you called normal transformer is actually called flyback smps transformer .normal transformer use iron/still as core ,but smps flyback transformer use ferrite core.

I am only 2 minutes in but it seemed to me that while you were explaining what each individual part is you might as well acknowledge the USB output connector too. I know what it is and the fundamentals of how that particular piece of this puzzle works, but for those who do not know what it is, a quick intro to it like the rest might help someone. Jus sayin' ... :-) I truly admire the fact that you do not want to waste peoples time with a long drawn out video. But there were a few times where you just motored through a sentence or two leaving my ears in the dust. Throw in the fact that I have not seen my Indian friends in years nor have I visited Pioneer Blvd and I had trouble keeping up. Of course that one is on me :-) But yeah, almost sounded like you plugged yourself into one of those chargers you were going fast! But I'll take fast over a long drawn out video any day of the week. I should add that I found this a very informative video as I did learn a couple things. Thank You and Thumbs Up!

In simple ,if U see the mobile charger,here the Input voltage at 240 Volts at 50/60Hz frequency is first fed to Input Rectifier stage, Which converts 240 Volt AC to 240 Volt DC. This 240 DC voltage is fed to a High Frequency Switch which converts this DC to High Frequency AC at 240 Volts with a frequency between 50KHz to 1MHz, So now we have 240 Volt AC at a higher frequency. Here comes the Switched Mode Transformer. These Switched Mode Transformer(SMT) are capable of handling higher frequency. So this SMT will now step down the 240 Volt AC at Higher frequency to required Output AC voltage at higher frequency. And the output AC voltage is now converted to DC using output rectification and filtering circuit. The DC output voltage is fed back to the control circuit which gives the firing pulse for the High Frequency Switch. Thus achieving AC to DC conversion

Is there any polarity issue of the input of mobile phone charger ? Like Phase to one side of the plug & neutral to another side of the plug. I have one xiaomi charger in which if I connect it to the socket like a way, the charger gets more hot; but if I interchange the charger plug to the socket in another way; then its become normal condition. Actually I wanted to know any internal circuit arrangement where AC phase & neutral has a certain arrangement.

@brainamplifier7 жыл бұрын
+vamsi krishna as our mobile need 5v dc, we have to step down the 110v/230v supply. To do that we have to use transformer.
@harshsharma57686 жыл бұрын
Bhai mosfet doesn't convert dc to high frequency AC , it converts that dc to high frequency pulsating dc.. which acts like ac, as voltage is changing from 0 to particular value ... After rectification voltage never goes in negative side so there is no ac going in transformer , its pulsating dc.

Shouldn't the transformer be in the beginning of the circuit like a bridge rectifier. You said the transformer doesn't work on DC , then if the transformer was in the beginning it will work.
@vishnupriyatummala8015 жыл бұрын
If u do that happy diwali in advance cause I had experienced this😂😂😂😂(I had blasted that SMPS transformers) the reason for that is we need low voltage with high frequency...... It is not AC actually it is a square wave like a pulse or pulsating DC(0n-off-on-off-on.....)....By this on off (fast switching)we generate high frequency....

Yes I too agree with u, how mosfet is switched?? From where get signal is produced
@prasana40474 жыл бұрын
Bruh the mosfet gate triggered by IC555 timer typically the timer will generate PWM pulse signal and this will go through the gate of the mosfet to trigger the conduction between Source to drain...simple MOSFET is a switching device that's all 😊
