I don't think Goody was a witch at all. I think she has the same powers as Wednesday. More like I think Wednesday is a reincarnation of her as they look so much alike. I don't think Thornhill aka Laurel was actually a "normie" at all but a Witch. Why else did her family revolve around brewing deadly nightshade potions and crackstone having so much power. I think if they do a season 2 it would be cool to have Nevermore go up against the family of witches or at least get more back story on why there is a feud between them.

I think Goody should have been an adult not the same age as Wednesday. Have Wednesday’s family be her descendants because seeing her Ghost like it is means that she died as a young teen which doesn’t give her enough time to leave behind descendants because the flash back to where her family is killed and her escape and death means she died as a teen not long afterwards. Unless some of her family did survive then that would place her as a cousin or aunt making Wednesday her doppelgänger which could explain why they look alike and why Goody died as a teen

It is never mentioned at what age Goody died. Also, it was pretty standard for teenagers to have kids before the 19th century. Her appearance as a ghost can be attributed to her thinking that she achieved more as a teenager in her life than as an adult.

Technically Goody wasn't a given name in the seventeenth century during Goody Addams time. It was an abbreviation of Goodwife, the archaic version of the term we now use, Mrs. So Goody Addams is really Mrs Addams.

Side note: "Goody" isn't a name. It is a form of address. It is derived from the phrase "Good Wife." Similarly "Good Man" refers to men. These were terms used in 17th century New England. So Goody and Goodman or Goodm'n or sometimes Good'n and the person's last name or if you are close friends their first name instead. So "Goody Addams" would be derived from "Good Wife Addams" meaning she would have been married to a gentleman whose last name was Addams. This means that she would have been an ancestral grandmother who married into the Addams family. Also note that in New England in the 17th century, women tended to get married for the first time around the age of 20, sometimes 19 or even 18 and rarely 17 and rarer still 16. Likewise as of the age of 21 her parents would start to worry and by 22 she's thought of as someone who might not marry. By the time she's 25 her parents would have all but given up on the idea of having grandchildren. Goody appears to be around Wednesday's age which I think is around 17.

One thing doesn't match up. Why is Goody's name Addams and not Frump if she's Wednesday's ancestor of the white european descent. She's got english name, fair hair etc so it looks like she's of the northern european settlers' side while Goméz Addams is of the Mexican/Hispanic/native side. I don't think Goméz Addams originally came from a mixed ancestry, at least not in this show's lore.

She (goody Addams) died because of crackstones fire, and Wednesday was born again so that’s how goody knew that her blood was the key to make crackstone reappear. Laurels father is crackstone because that’s why she tried to summon him back again. So yeah that’s what specifically happend I guess?..

The Spanish had already settled in the Americas 150 years before the pilgrims arrived. So that's probably what she meant by being one of the first settlers in the Americas. She could then have traveled from Mexico which at the time was known as New Spain or La Nueva Espana, north to the eastern seaboard where the series takes place.

I found out about this show after I saw Jenna on Jimmy Kimmel, so I decided to check it out. I was hooked after the second episode, what an amazing first season. My favorite part was the bonding between Enid and Wednesday. I thought Goody looked amazing with the turquoise color and background. It was a great change up from the dark color Wednesday wears.

I don't believe Goody will return since she mentioned that she would never see her again, in ep 8 but again she probably could another reason she won't be able to come again in the other seasons is maybe becuase she defeated Joseph, but the stalker could be her enemy but not been mentioned until the next season or so, Goody addams may be able to be seen again if its Joseph crackstons other realitve that could still be there. Maybe Goody won't be in the next seasons but another ancestor may be able to come around since the stalker cant be a joke as they got the pictures from nowhere, the only person I think could be the stalker is someone who knows Wednesday very well or maybe not but it could be Enid???

I don’t think it was used for “miss”. It’s short for “goodwife”, so it was only only used for a married woman. Anyway, they would still call some Goody Adams, if she was married

I have one major issue with this character. "Goody" isn't a name. It's a title, the shortened form of the word "goodwife." "Goody Addams" is just Mrs. Addams, but this girl looks way too young to be married. If it's supposed to be her name, imma be upset at every show writer who never read the crucible.
