Maeve got out but Maeve was good. A-Train wild redeemed, and an awesome character, has too much baggage. The real kicker being Train’s family. He has to go out looking like a hero or they won’t believe any of it is real unless he dies. This show though being how it is i could see him sacrificing himself and no one knowing.

Either A-Train ends up dying next season or he ends up barely surviving by the skin of his teeth like Maeve in S3. I really don’t see any other outcome for him, because as long as he’s a supe I don’t think he’ll have get Reggie’s respect back as long as he’s a puppet for Homelander, and I can’t see him doing that for long given how his redemption is going and that’ll likely get him killed. There’s only two roads I see for him, I hope it’s the 2nd but you never know.

I think Butcher freeing the rabbit and ultimately killing it, is foreshadowing how he, like the rabbit, is bound by a metaphorical cage. And also has that Temp V in him and in order for him to go out as a hero, the Boys might ultimately have to put him down as he slowly becomes the monster he accused Homelander of being.

I could see A Train being suspected by Homelander through Sage manipulating the situation without fully revealing it was A Train even though she clearly knows he’s the leak. Then I see Homelander in the final episode of S4 telling A Train he has to prove his loyalty by killing his own family or a bunch of civilians or Homelander kills him instead, A Train refuses to do it and maybe even does an action to keep his family safe and gets killed by Homelander in the process, thus ending part1 of the boys finale.

Huey's dad's powers were seemingly controlled via emotions. Starlight's powers not working seems to be due to emotions. What if Homelander starts to actually love Ryan and becoming a father, and this weakens his powers. Billy comes in and kills Homelander (Weakend from the virus and his emotional state) and Ryan sees this. Ryan then hates Butcher and it's war all over again with Butcher feeling now justified in his reasoning and methods for killing all supes because he thinks Ryan's humanity is gone now.

We all saw in the last seasons how A-Train reacts with racism... We also saw in previous season he would betray other people wanting to stop Homelander... What needs to happen is Homelander pushing A-Train even further over the edge where we will see 'finally' confirming A-Train to be becoming one of the boys and meet his death at that same moment. I was thinking at the start of this season that Homelander would put on Noir's mask and have a split personality plotline but it's a little late for that arc in this season. After what's happened my current theory is that Butcher having powers is a red herring and what's growing inside him is the key to killing the supes but will release a greater threat. Temp V causes a tumor to grow in the host. Adding compound V to the host then bypasses the host and mutates the tumor giving it life and agency. Basically, Butcher has a Shoggoth growing inside of him. The question is if temp V being given to supes who already have compound V in their system would react the same way.

The season is HORRIBLY written, Ryan swapping his personalities from episode to episode or even WITHIN the same one. He is saddened and depressed by killing a human, but he was smiling at the end of season 3, this trend continues in season 4 and there is no logic to it.
