The only man who could do this song was Tupac Shakur. When the black community lost Tupac they lost a voice. Like when the community lost Malcom X, Martin Luther King etc. Tupac spoke to the minds of a young generation. He was dangerous for the elite at the top of the pyramid. Rip Pac the Great. And another good reaction brother.

If you look at pac's body of work u could say its a cry for help, how many times did he adress The Lord or trying to show how bad it is out there. He sacrifised him self for the message he was putting out there. The absolute goat. I dont qualify his work as rap anymore. Dude was a activist using music to get his point across.

My first half of school, up until 6th grade, I was an honor student. I got accused of cheating, my parents helping my with science projects, etc. With a mom that worked two jobs and a father that wasn't around, getting help was impossible. But as soon as depression hit and I was on my "Fuck the World" that's when I was treated like everyone else. The fighting and angry outburst was normalized because it was the same as what my peers went through. It's the subtle racism of lowered expectation. They was able to accept a crippled version of me more than when I felt whole. As long as I wasn't a threat of challenge, they let me be. Even now I struggle with jobs because I get sabotage when do my best but celebrated when I simply fall in line. Just trying give more perceptive about why Tupac tracks relate to my black experience. Lastly I thought you were gonna use the clip from White Men World" when Pac said "Use your brain". It seem to be on brand with Brain Squeeze.

The hook of this song is so amazing and not just because the amazing sound of pacs voice but because it illustrates that as long as we are engaging in destructive behavior this Country can care less than a damn but the moment we start to influence their children and become their heroes, now they give a damn about our same destructive behavior so now the focus is on us. It's such a beautiful and powerful hook but it's easy to get lulled into the Sonic pleasure of it.

I love this Pac journey you are on. Based on how you are paying attention to the lyrics at some point you will hit a spot where you will face a place that will challenge your current perspective not about Pac, hip-hop, lyrics, music, but this world. Tupac knew exactly who he was making his music for therefore the lyrics for raw but not over complicated and that was for a reason. Some may have other ideas on what that reason maybe but ultimately we will all agree that Tupac was not making his music to talk to someone that is at the age that we are currently at now. For for example I'm 63 and from California and you up Tupac before the fame. Tupac did not begin with such heavy messages. As a matter fact he was part of Digital Underground where the lead rapper had an alter ego call Humpty Hump which you could imagine was more comical. What people don't understand is that 85% music that we here anywhere and any place that we go in the world is controlled by four companies. If you think about that set control over 85% of all the music you've heard in your life how much power and influence does those for companies have on the direction of many aspects of people's lives music is such a powerful and Universal tool. Today with social media you can get some stuff played on some of these streaming services in posting your music online and get themselves but you're not going to change the world necessarily because you're one person battling corporations at any point decide what is the ending in music and those that want to continue to profit from their music career will have to change their approach to what they are putting out because these companies ultimately decides what music gets to the people. Think about it we are old enough to know elevators usually play soft music as you hit up to whichever floor you are going to. All that music is copyrighted and owned by somebody so who decides on what is considered elevator music and what is not? Now asking that question makes one think exactly who is it that is determining who's music is considered elevator music and whose music is not because those are the same people that decide what is hip hop or not. About the power ability. The same people that make the music that some people claim violent to be on the radio it's the same people that determine what is peaceful and relaxing elevator music. That is always important to remember in my opinion because music is sound waves patterns in rhythms that can influence us even when we're not paying attention to it. It can influence us even when we don't understand it. Travel to a country that speaks a language that you are not familiar with and let a song play that is full of Heartache you will not understand a single part of that song other than the fact that you feel sad as you listen to it. So my point is that Us in this journey of diving deeper into Tupac's we have to remember that what made it to the radio, made it to the CD, made it to the cassette, and what made it to the record, control by 4 corporations ...almost 90% of all music we he is controlled by them and to sever a purpose. The difficulty comes when it's time to try to understand the purpose why certain songs regardless of their content makes it to our ears but they also determine what music that does not make it to our ears. I said for music corporations but when we usually talk about music we generally refer to the label and what did not listen major or it's an independent but but we don't remember to think about or what maybe some people are not educated to think about is fees for corporations so many labels there is no such thing as a East Coast West Coast beef and there is no such thing as artist beefing with each other for real. They may not like each other individuals but they can not hate each other because they all work for the same for corporations. It's easy all you got to do is Google what are the four major music corporations once you get go for go and look at labels they own, lookup their subsidiaries distribution companies and you will see that it is impossible to have a a real beef in music. There was Tupac and Biggie it was displayed. Did two men have a disagreement? Check the record corporations not the labels if you own those labels and you will see it's impossible for them to have a real beef because their check was being written by the same people ultimately. Tupac has so much music that we would never hear. Don't be so sidetracked by what we hear that we forgets there's a lot that we don't get to hear. I think sometimes people that don't understand who control what music is recorded and distributed those people also do not understand how the music is manipulated not to serve the artist but something much bigger. So we take for example this song here where Tupac says they don't give a f about us. True as that statement is is too early most people think in your journey you will come across this at some point to where you will start to think about why did that song get the okay to be released? It's a song that says the system does not care about us in this case is the black and the inner city people. Not now it's important not to be distracted because just because a black man says They Don't Care About Us it does not mean he's only referencing black people. Think about it, and inner-city white male rap that same song it'll be just as powerful and true. Immigrant from Mexico rap that same song and it'd be just as powerful and just as true? So when Tupac says They Don't Care About Us who is the earth in which he is referring to and is he referencing the same people that the music corporation that allowed this song to be placed on release considered Tupac to be talkin about the same people that we think he's talkin to? If you think multibillion-dollar corporations all four of them conclude that this song should be released selling black people that the system doesn't care about them so they need to do something different. If the system which is those that are in power does not care about black people what was their motive for allowing a black person to tell another black person that the system does not care about us? What Tupac States is true then that song would be an oxymoron because in order for the corporations that control the industry to allow that song out that gives black people the message that we need to do something different because they don't care there for you giving us a solution to a problem that you created why would you do that? Helping someone get a solution to a problem or identify a problem then a solution means you have to care if the intent is pure. We understand Tupac's words are true therefore we have to slow down and think about what was the motive because it wasn't done because they cared about us before there was another motive and we have the responsibility to figure out what that motive is so that we don't react in a predictable way because this song was not release because those in power want us to take over that power. So what was the true motive? We know one motive is money. When examining music especially music that is a conscious level of awareness there are Gatekeepers that determine what come out and what does it. And that's why I say at some point in this journey you were hit a spot where it will no longer be about the lyrics and this this journey will transcend music and you will end up in a place where you will have to decide as individuals to close your eyes and go back into not being conscious because with that becomes responsibilities that you may not be prepared for but also it shakes up your foundation and your belief system for some people they rather go back into unconsciousness because the responsibility is overwhelming. There's this whole big thing right now about what you can say and put on social media look how much a problem that is currently imagine if the music industry it was put under those same restraints. Why is it that they are wanting to regulate input more guidelines in to what social media can and cannot do? There's no social media corporations that can compete with any music Corporation I mean the four major music corporations. Some of you that may be old enough to remember when they try to go to court to say that you cannot say certain things on record in that case with one in the Supreme Court by 2 Live Crew that is when they came up with the Parental Advisory sticker because the record industry did not want to be restricted from what they put out because music is just that powerful. 2 Live Crew will always get the credit because they took it to court put the music industry made that decision because they have that much power

Wow! You keep pulling gems out of your bag. As so did you, I thought about Michael Jackson’s song so I looked both up to see which came out first. Tupac released his song in 1991 and Michael in 1995, released in 1996. Anyway, great catch! Now where you excelled above all is when you started your video with a snippet of Wallace’s interview of Farrakhan. That was f*cking deep! I’m speechless. Tupac is the goat of lyrics/rap and you are the goat of Tupacology! I had to create a new term to describe what you’re doing here my man - a real Tupacologist! You remind me of when Harvard added Tupac to their curriculum. My main Man, you are doing it! Because of you I can now create an ultimate Tupac playlist! Thanks!!!

BTW this was recorded in 96, not 91. A lot of MJ's hits inspired Pac, like this one and Niggaz Nature... but Pac wasn't feeling the arrogance that MJ displayed when it came time for the two of them to collaborate on his Don Killuminati album. As big as MJ was even in 1996, Pac was about to take over the music industry towards the end of the 90s in a way that no other rapper could, not even the likes of Jay-Z or Eminem.

Lot to unpack in this track, you nailed it again bro. Def been patiently waiting for this track, and you did not disappoint. Lyrically this has always been one of my favs and it's sad that the message is still relevant in the world today. That hook by itself speaks so much truth. Appreciate you thoughts on white privilege. More people need to have that mindset, if they did maybe his words/message wouldn't be so relevant in today's world.

Just a clarification on your take on the chorus: He's saying that the establishment doesn't and didn't ever give a fuck about us.... but now they do. Why? Because he's starting to rise as a hero in "their" children's eyes. This is part of the reason he died. The children of the establishment also started listening to Pac and that was just too much. Listen to the track and the chorus again. This is actually the most true and factual part of the track. And it was also prophetic. Saying that Pac was way ahead of his time, has proven to be the most underrated statement in history. And it killed him.

Played in reverse and slowed to 50% using music speed changer app, you can hear the chorus saying "survive without the milk & honey_our short world ends within this hour how must we all survive" and throughout 2pac AND OuTlAwZ verses there are more reversed messages coming direct from the subconscious spiritual realm than I've heard in most Pac songs. Groups/phrases of words that just pop out and it hits you like woah!! I've clipped them all!
