@Matthew Day I feel that way about things I try to create or even to some extent about anything I want to do- will the time I spend produce something that will be worth it, even it's just a memory or time spent happy. It's why I don't draw anymore or game, too much time on things that don't really benefit me. But expressing yourself is important and every so often I can take time to make things as long as I just make them for myself. There's no pressure so I just go at it. If someone likes it, maybe it becomes more but the fastest way to kill motivation is doubt about how others will view what you've done so just factor them out 🤟

Should you want to react to more Ren then you can’t go wrong with the trilogy tales (Jenny, Screech and violet in that order). Totally gripping performances and dark subject matter. There is a video that combines all 3 running 13 mins in total, so if you thought 9 mins was long, buckle up. It goes by in a flash btw with a real sting in the tail of these tales

Yes Jordan Complete ...as soon as I heard this I thought of that one. So similar yet so different. I had to do some research on this kid and found out he was very very ill from the time he was like 19 to a point where he couldn't even leave his bed as his pain was debilitating. He went from Dr to Dr seeking help with no improvement, only worse which then left him in a state of mental psychosis as he was left in constant crippling pain. Close to 10 years later he was finally diagnosed properly with Lyme's disease. The years of being misdiagnosed left him with irreversible damage to his immune system. I mean this kid has been through hell and the only thing he said that kept him going was his love for music. He's in Canada now getting some special treatments to hopefully help build his immune system back up. I believe at some point he couldn't even walk. My partner used to be a caregiver for a guy who was misdiagnosed with Lyme's disease. It does so much damage to the body 😭 So glad you finally got around to this. Absolutely brilliant. I haven't heard anything else of his except Sick Boi. You'd like that one as well.

Ren is one of the most important artists out of the UK in years. Affected by Lymes disease, he was misdiagnosed and put on drugs that really screwed him up. He lost so many of his teenage years, suffering disabling pain, so he spent years in bed, playing and writing. Thankfully, he's on the road to recovery. He is a fantastic story teller, singer, actor, artist. He has done a brilliant interpretation of Beastie Boys (What you want), Soul stuff (Ocean ft Eden Nash), and an absolute MUST is the Tale of Jenny and Screech, which must be watched in full, starting with Jenny, then Screech then Violet. Trust me, Hector!

I have fallen into the REN rabbit hole since I first saw, Hi Ren. The genius of his body of work is mind-blowing to say the least. Like he said in, Hi Ren, he really is a genius. I was about to do a joke about the song and ADHD, it's a good thing I waited till the end. Mad props to you, mad respect for your reaction. You don't know how much of a gem you have there, right in your own backyard. Even going down the hole 7 years past, he was already was making beautiful music, and he rap-raps too..
