The main thing that was missed is mentioning whether or not Brainwavz quality held up. The update would make more sense if the Brainwavz brand was also mentioned. How is the cushion thickness holding up on both brands? I just wished that Brainwavz would offer more colors and patterns. Custom printed patterns even better! I just trademarked & copyrighted the custom printed headphone-earpad idea. You can pay me now, Brainwavz. Thank you Brainwavz for sending me some new hybrid round earpads for my Tascam TH-07's! That was a thanking in advance. A bit of wishful thinking by just putting it out there. 😁✌️ @nreh0

Wish I'd seen this sooner. I bought some Wicked Cushions for my Arctis Pro Wireless, as so many people had recommended them as an upgrade, and said they were bigger than the stock cushions. As soon as I opened the bag I could immediately see a problem. Sure, the ear pads are larger in total size... but the ear opening is actually *smaller* than the stock Arctis ear pads! The Wicked Cushions have a ridiculously narrow ear opening. Who has ears that tiny? Very disappointing... It's clear from this video that I definitely should have gone with Brainwavs. Or maybe just continue using the stock ones...

I own just about every style of Brainwavz ear pads maybe every style. The first thing I will say is that BW's have a much larger selection with extended compatibility over wicked cushions. Not to say that WC's wont fit headphones not on their list but BW's have tested their products on more of a variety and know what they will fit. The BW's are exceptional quality I do especially love my cooling gels that I own a few pairs of for long gaming sessions. The cooling Gels change the tonality of the sound too much for me to recommend them for music but you can usually find a pair that will compliment your listening preferences with your headphones. I would like to see more variety in WC's selection as the craftmanship is incredible and I love the colors they offer.
@Josh-jk1sq2 жыл бұрын
How much is the change of the sound quality with the cooling gel? Is it a horrible change or is it unusual
@ToysForTheGods2 жыл бұрын
@@Josh-jk1sq Alright, I pulled out my HD650s and my DT880s and ran tests with these from stock pads to the gel pads. Which is just the pairs that I have the gels for. On the HD650s it made the sound seem hollow and just scooped the mids but just hollow. On the DT880s it made them very V shaped, much more bass and treble with less mids. I can like with the V shape of the 880s but the hollow sound on the 650s just gets to me in music. Now just for games I run the gels on my HD660S and they are my go to gaming headset most of the time and it has never really bothered me.
