Hi Mike, another great review. The foundation knob, is to bring harsh mixed material, to soften Highs if you bring it up, a little more mids too. If you turn it the other way, it brings dull mixes up with high and low end. This is more for mastering tracks, which is the bx_masterdesk also made for. With that difference you can clip audio with this LTP also, and that was just the missing plugin in PA's products, well done and thanks.

Thank you SO MUCH for making this video. I've been curious about it since it's release on 4/13. I have the old bx_limiter and feel it's now obsolete for tracks and plan on using the new one for everything. I would really love to see a comparison of the bx_XL V2 and this new bx_limiter True Peak!

The intro price on this is 140€ (not going to even mention retail price as its more of a trick to get people to sub). Elevate was on offer for 80€, that's 80€ for the full bundle and Elevate blows the new BX limiter out of the water, no comparison. This plug in ain't bad, its the asking price with the competition that is around these days, that raises my eyebrows.

I have the TDR and find it really easy to use. I just wonder if I should be using something else like the Brainworx, maybe in series, to add a little bit more colour.

Love your videos and thanks for this one! I do have a couple of questions-why are you using the Output Dim and not the Ceiling to control the True Peak? And...couldn’t you volume match by using the “Link” instead of the Output Dim?

I think the reason they didn't go with the MS features on this one was because their bx_XL V2 is heavily MS based. XL is also broken up into 3 bands so that creates a slightly more "edgy" sound. I think True Peak is overall a more "wholesome" sounding limiter, and it's so smooth!!! A strong contender to Pro-L.

Great demo as always! You mentioned wanting to be able to gain match to make it easier to compare the processing to the unprocessed track. Does the link control for gain and ceiling not do what you're after?

I just mastered a LP from the actual best classical piano player. Obviously I never push more than 0,1 dB in my final limiter for classical music. So I tried to push the BX true peak limiter around 4 dB with the basic settings (no XL and foundation) and compared to the Elixir Limiter from Flux. Without any doubt the Elixir from Flux was the cleanest who not destroyed the transient. I will compare with some modern music and come back here to give you a video link.

you probably have the linking of threshold and ceiling feature to monitor at constant level (with bypass in and out).

How does this compare with Elevate, Ozone, UAD and Weiss limiters? Can you do a shoot out? It sounds pretty dull to me, but useful data in the UI.

super dull. it doesn’t compare to elevate. not even close. elevate’s only competition at this point are limitless, weiss, fab etc.. I luv plugin alliance but they took an L on this one

game changer?? really?? fab was a game changer. elevate n limitless were def game changers. this man. Idk. I luv plugin alliance and am always greatful for Mike n his knowledge and videos but this thing aint it. am actually kinda disappointed in this after I downloaded and compared it to others. will attempt to dive more again and try on different material but ehh
