Couple days later, I walk into my room to find the boys had taken my gecko out of her cage, placed her on the floor, and were trying to get my cat to eat her. Luckily my cat was very gentle and didn't attack, but OH MY GOD I WAS FURIOUS!!!! I pushed one of the boys aside, picked up my gecko, and demanded they get out of my room. They started to cry and went to my dad's friend to complain that I "ruined their game". I told both my dad's friend and my dad what had actually happened, and the boys got in a lot of trouble. Had some friends turn up at my house over Easter break during my first year of uni, my mum decided to go to McDonald's and said she'd pick us up some fries if we wanted to tag along, they all ordered large meals and stuck her with the bill. When we got home I popped to the loo, came back to my bedroom to find that they had spilt their drinks all over my revision notes for an upcoming exam and had left my laptop swimming in a pool of coke, whilst also managing to get it on the keyboard somehow. My laptop would not switch on at all, sent it off for repair and was told it would be £600 to fix, which was more money than I had to feed myself for a term. They all denied any wrongdoing and even accused me of lying. Had to forsake my revision for upcoming exams to pick up some temp work so I could get a new laptop, as I also had essays due. Failed one of my exams but was able to re-take it the next year, and no longer speak to any of them.

One time, some guests came over to our house. There were 3 children. One of them was like 6 or 7 the other one 8 or 9 and the other one 10 or 11 (basically my age at that time) I hid my RC Car before they came but they still found it. I took it away from them and said to them politely that they shouldn't touch my RC Car. They were smiling at me but still did the same thing. Then they started driving it around. I screamed and they just drove the car straight off. The door was open in my room so the car went in the hallway then all the way downstairs. The car was white and had dents and scratches on it. It still worked perfectly but i was really mad at them. Their mum called them downstairs and I never talked to them since.

When I was you younger, about 7-8, my aunty came over unannounced, being alone and completely spooked by her just walking through the door ( I knew my mum wasn't back from work for a good two hours), I told her it was rude to walk in without knocking. She completely flipped out, screaming and yelling at me and telling me she's allowed to come and go as she's family. Me being the now terrified child I was, ran to my room and locked myself in. She waited the full two hours for my mum to get home to tell her how rude I was to her, as well as eating nearly all our biscuits and expensive food and smoking in our house after my mum had quit only a few months before. My mum came up to see me completely spooked by the situation, believed me right away. My mum booted my aunty out right after my aunt flipped out and calling me a lot of pretty brutal things you probably shouldn't call an 8 year old. Another time she turned up to our house at about 11pm on my birthday, banging on our door, waking up my step dad who had work early the next day and me scaring me and my mum watching tv, it quickly turned into a heated fight until my aunty barged past my mum and came into the room I was in to, she freaked me out a bit since she was crying, she grabbed my arm and gave me an unsealed card and started saying how much she loved me. My mum dragged her off of me and back into the other room where they began having an even bigger argument, while I just sat in the other room playing on my DS with headphones in trying to pretend I didn't know what was going on. I hated her for a long time, but as I've gotten older I've realised she had a mental illness. She's gotten treatment since then and is now a much better person because of it, I'm proud of her.

Same... wasn’t the same thing but my friends older brother had like a roller coaster he had made with a kit or smth, and I was rolling the car up and down the tracks when no one was around. I think the loop broke in half (an easy fix in retrospect, but at the time I was a young kid and didn’t know what to do), so I just left it and hoped no one would notice. Fast forward an hour, my mom is picking me up to go home, and older brother notices it’s broken. I’m literally crossing the threshold when I hear him start SCREAMING. Not at me tho, at my friend, his little sis. He was accusing her of breaking it and shit. She started yelling back at him that she didn’t and I just kinda stood there frozen. Then I dipped and left before the mom got involved to get in the car. To this day neither of them know it was me, and I cut ties with them anyways after going to a diff middle school. In retrospect, they were a super obnoxious family anyways so I don’t feel that bad lmao.

When I was about 5yo my family was friends with a couple that had two daughters my age I could play with. My mom agreed to watch one of them for an afternoon and we were playing with my cat. I was moving my hand really fast back and forth in front of the cat to make him want to catch it. Of course I got scratched. Not a big deal to me because I was used to it, but my friend decided to punish the cat by putting him in a pillowcase and swinging him into my dollhouse. When I realized what was happening I screamed and ran for my mother. She then lectured the girl nonstop while calling her parents to come get her immediately. My mother then got into a screaming fight with the parents calling them evil for not teaching their children to not hurt animals. We never spoke to that family again. My family has zero tolerance for people who make light of animal abuse.

My boyfriends little brother used to come hang out, which was fine sometimes, but every time he came over he helped himself to our food. He grew up in a very generous family, it was probably normal, but we were pretty poor and I was the only roommate bringing home food. Even worse, he would let this food go to waste so if he poured a bowl or cereal or made noodles, he would leave it out unfinished. Often times he would just leave with food still out on my coffee table, drips or stains on my new couch, and my cat would be eating his scraps. He was also obsessed with vaping and would blow these huge clouds and hotbox our entire apartment, whether or not I was home, because the other roommates would let him in. This shit gave me headaches, and it leaves a film on tv, glass and sheer plastic that is a bitch to get off...we didn't get our deposit back at that rental and owed money for cleaning after moving out because of this. It was also really annoying to come home to him sitting in my bedroom, on my bed, playing my video games (spoiling the endings) and I worked at a pizza shop. At the end of a long, hard day at work the first thing I wanted to do was strip out of my nasty pizza clothes and take a cold shower, but I couldn't, because he was in MY bedroom. It was so annoying to finish a 10 hour shift and come home to my room being filled with vape clouds that gave me pounding headaches, sitting on my bed playing my games, when I just wanted to be alone with my boyfriend and go to bed. Also caught him multiple times peeing with the door open and not washing his hands after, touching my controllers. But he really crossed the line when he and one of my roommates decided to put TAPE all over my fucking cat. They were just leaving and passed me outside as I was going up, they snickered and said something about my cat. I went upstairs and found him hiding behind the couch covered in this fucking tape, it took me half an hour to peel it all off while he was crying and biting me, and I was sobbing for my poor cat feeling so guilty ripping out chunks of fur. I called the brother first, then the roommate, my boyfriend was the only one who answered and I was SCREAMING. I finally got to talk to them and they got mad and kept hanging up on me because they thought I was overreacting and just did it to be funny, not to be mean. I asked if it would be funny to put tape in their hair, and they said "that's not the same thing". I have my own place now, and have never let this kid step foot in my house.

Let me also share mine... So we have a glass cabinet under our TV and is stored with limited edition hot wheels, some Marvel collectibles, plushies and other stuff we have since childhood - it's basically me and my siblings' collection. One day, a family of four visited our house for some serious business talk with our dad. Upon their arrival, their two sons immediately saw the collection and asked their dad if they could play with it. I stayed quiet because I assumed the father would be responsible enough to ask permission... but no, he straight up said to his darn sons to "Go, have fun!" At first I was still hesitant to stop them because I'm not that rude to deprive someone of enjoying the things which they probably don't have, but does the younger brother really have to snatch one of the most expensive figure in our collection first?!!! (A limited edition Thor that costs for about $430) Then's the time I finally took action and them began to warn the son of how much the thing in his hand costs. But the son's so stubborn and started having tantrums with the figure still in his tight grip. I started panicking and immediately told the mother about this (which was actually watching her sons wrecking our collections the whole time) but she argued by saying "So the toys were actually just for display, toys are meant to be played" in a calm, sarcastic manner. I started to get so annoyed and blurted out that all of those wasn't "JUST" toys. The older son probably heard my heated arguement with his mother and decided to break the moemnt by crushing a music box that was given to me 13 years ago with his feet. I almost cried that time but still composed myself and told the mother that she needs to control her sons. The mother probably sensed my anger building up and forcibly snatched the Thor figure in his son's hard and threw it on the ground. The imapct caused the figure to break into pieces and it is the worst act I've ever received. I kept myself from slapping/punching the mother out of the little respect I still have for her and blurted out the fact that the thing she just broke costs a week of her income. The mother first refused to pay but then dad came to the rescue (right after he finished his meeting with the father) and asked what happened, after sorting out the problem, they've decided to pay us $500 for the figure. IDK if this fits the category or this actually fits the Entitled Parents more.

When I was 14 my mother would sometimes have "couch surfers" visit. They were basically foreigners who needed a place to crash, most of them were young students who were thankful for the hospitality. But there was this one guy who was just weird. Not in a good way. We had cats back then and I also had a pet cockatoo. The house had a section divided for the bird, there were two sturdy doors in between and no cat could open them. We always told visitors to close those doors behind them when passing through, we had even put a reminder on them. No issues until mr weirdo appeared. He didn't listen to what he was told. He ate what he wanted from the fridge and used my moms laptop without permission. Both of those things were kinda minor. Then next day I come back from school, go to visit my cockatoo, see both doors wide open and feathers everywhere. I was devastated. Worst part was that the guy would refuse to leave even after that and just continued using the laptop like nothing had happened. We had to literally throw the dude out and even then he had the audacity to ask for a ride to the city..

A "Friend" occasionally came to my house to play N64 games (Gamecube didn't have a second controller at the time), and I would always lose a game. This isn't really uncommon, I lost games all the time, what with two brothers and no actual organization, and I would always find them again, sometimes years later. I lost a total of 20 games, one each time after he visited that I didn't find later. Fastforward two years, I went to his house once to play Xbox, and he had TWELVE N64 games hidden under his bed, all of which had gone missing from my collection. Including two OOT carts. He doesn't even own an N64, and they had my name on them. I went to his mother and she went ballistic on him. I asked where the other 8 games were, and he traded them for a copy of Halo 2. Included in the traded list was a copy of Clay Fighter Sculptor's Cut, one of the rarest games on the console. For a bit of reference, at this moment, selling JUST THAT ONE could buy me a Switch right now. He traded it and seven other games (Such as DK64 and Pokemon Stadium) to some random guy at school for a copy of Halo 2. I have never seen another copy in person, and I haven't spoken to him since I broke his nose. It never healed straight. Good.

My friends little brother came to my house once when my friend came round, I didn’t want to have to keep him entertained so I said to him “hey, do you want to play the simpsons hit and run?” I knew that he loved the game and although I had a couple of save files that are important I set it up for him and gave him his own save file. When my friend and his little brother left I went upstairs to check on the game to see what he had done, he had replaced everyone of my save files including my 100% complete save file. I still hate that kid but I can’t say he’s not aloud at my house anymore because it’s my friends little brother and if his little brother doesn’t go their mum might not let my friend come. Luckily my older brother, seeing how upset I was, decided to try to redo what I had done on my save files, it wasn’t 100% complete but I was still really grateful towards my brother for doing that for me. When I went through to tell her she had to leave as my sister wasn't home, she asked me if she could stay and play with her toys. I wanted to get a drink so I closed the door to my room so she wouldn’t come in. When I came back the door was open and She was CRUSHING my bird and said it was hers because princesses have birds. Here’s my story (I know it isn’t on Reddit but why not write it here) : So we have these really good family friends that come over a lot. Their youngest kid was 9 at the time. So it was Cup Day, and we invited them over like always. The whole family came but their Mum and youngest son. They came 30 minutes later which was fine, because they’d told us the night before. They were late because they’d gone to watch a movie with one of the 9 yr old friend from his school (which had be planned before we invited them). So when he arrived, the friend he bought with him to the movies came too. That was fine (she was 10). We didn’t know her but that’s alright. We were downstairs when they arrived. The 9 yr old said “Hey!” And the 10 year old girl waved as well and said “Hi guys! I’m _____”. We had two kittens at the time and she saw them both. “I’m good with cats!” She said and picked the smallest one up. She held the kitten by its belly upside down. The kitten started to squirm to get out of her arms, so she literally dropped the small kitten. The 9 yr old showed her around and she went to my room. She was looking around and opening every draw and looking at every single corner of the room. I asked “Why don’t we go outside?” And they agreed. We went outside and we had just recently built a pagola. She climbed up a tree and sat on top of it (my Dad was very proud of that thing so he wouldn’t of liked her sitting up there). I politely asked her to get down but she refused and said “I’m 10 so I can make my own rules!” And waved her FAKE NAILS (She’s 10)! In my face. She look around the backyard and saw our pool. “OMG! CAN I FEEL THE WATER?!” She squealed. I said “Sorry, but you can’t go in the pool area because there’s no adults to watch you”. She ran over to the pool gate and opened it “I’m 10 so I can what I want. Anyways I’m old enough.” So she walked in. Soon after she walked out. “Do you even have a heater it’s freezing!” She said. She walked inside back to my room and kept on looking around. She found my homework (it was the holidays so it was stapled together). She grabbed it and ripped the staple off and took one of the pieces of paper and made it into a PAPER AIRPLANE! Then she kicked over her popcorn. We were talking, and she had lemonade. She then “spilt” it over the 9 yr old and laughed. When she left I told my Mum and she locked the doors and said “We are never letting that trash back.” Woah that was long.

I don't get many guests over, but the rudest guest has all been adults. One of them came into the house wearing shoes after we specifically asked them to take them off at the door nicely. Tracked dirt everywhere. I have a 14-year-old dog, who does not like overly energetic people, she will play with you if she's in the mood but mostly just want to sit in my lap. This one guest decided to try and get her to play by jumping around and jumping in her face. Then got surprised when my dog snapped at her. The nicest guest I have dealt with was a 19-month-old boy who silently sat on my bed while watching me play video games, and snuggled with my old dog. He also liked staring at my fish tank and shouting "fishy" over and over. He was the sweetest little boy ever. Edit: Another thing is when guests use your personal products. I am an adult man but I still struggle with breakouts, I found the right combination of products that helps my face. These products are a little pricy, so I get slightly triggered when other people use them. This one mother and her daughter came over (the daughter was about 16-17). Not even 20 minutes after they arrived the daughter asked to use the bathroom, I pointed her towards my personal bathroom because it was the closest one. Like all rude guests she decided to use my face wash...the main ingredient of my face wash is coconut. When she came back we all noticed her face turning red and swelling up. After talking to her for 10 minutes she finally admitted to using my face wash. She was apparently allergic to coconut.

Not sure if it's so terrible of an example, but. I had to help a friend of mine when he'd lost his apartment and was struggling with his job (it wasn't actually his fault, but he's a bit of a troublemaker so everyone thought it was; he just had real bad luck with his last boss and landlord), and he got to live with me for a month while he got his bearings in order and I pretty much paid for his stay with me. Now I'm not really stellar at keeping my apartment clean, and he knows this and can take this, but come one day when I got home from work, he'd tracked dirt in or whatever the heck he'd been up to; it looked fairly bad in any case. And when I pointed it out to him, I basically got a joking response like "hey, it's so messy in here anyway, surely you don't mind something like this". He made it up to me later on, and we're still friends and on quite good terms. At the time though, I was pretty damn furious; that's not really an attitude to take with someone who's literally paying to keep you on your legs while you're figuring out your life situation. Or am I the petty one? I struggle to understand my own point of view sometimes...

Ok, so I was 13 and me and my mom and sister were moving. My aunt said that she would help us pack and unpack everything. So she helped us pack. And then we went to our new house to unpack and she literally took the boxes and dumped them all in my room and my sisters room and then said she was tired so she left us to clean up the entire mess. Here's another one with my aunt: this happened just a couple days ago. So, my grandpa had recently passed away and me and most of my family went to where he lived for his burial. And my grandpa wanted everyone to party and drink and have fun and he didn’t want any drama. So my family drank. And after my Aunt had one shot, she started acting out. My sister was telling a funny story and then all of the sudden my aunt started to go on about how my sister is gonna get R*ped. So this started a lot of drama my uncle and aunt got in a fight so my aunt was gonna go to a hotel. Right before she was going there, she called my sister a b**** and my mom came at her at full speed. After that, a family friend was taking her to a hotel. And Apparently my aunt had freaking popped the lock and jumped out of the family friends car. So they had to call the cops on her and she almost ended up going to Jail. Sooo, yeah. A few months ago, a guy who I barely knew, and has a mutual friend with me, decided to spontaneously show up at my apartment at 2am. I was actually getting some sleep for once (I have horrible insomnia, sometimes awake for days,) and even though I ignored the knocking at first and stayed in bed, he wouldn’t relent, and I had to see what was up. When I asked what was going on, he told me that he just wanted to hang out. I told him that I didn’t want to hang out, that I was sleeping. He told me that he only had one ride for the night and he had them bring him to my apartment. I had to let him spend the night since he had no ride back. I showed him the pillows and blankets, told him to leave my stuff alone and to not talk to me. I then proceeded to go back to bed. I didn’t leave my room until he was gone the next day. A few days ago, he arrived at my house again, and asked me to give his friend food. I told him I could barely support myself, and there are resources in place his friend can contact. I was told that his friend’s house burned down, and that he would probably steal from the store if I didn’t help him. Feeling empathy, and not wanting to feel responsible for theft, I offered to go with them to the store and buy the food. Even though I bought the food, I found out that the guy (NOT the one whose house burned down in a fire, the one who showed up at my house at 2am) stole stuff anyway. I apologize if this was long, I’m just venting some frustrations.

Trashlord Supreme never let them in again. These kind of people think that they have the right to do everything they want. Next time leave them outside no matter the noise. You were lucky, some people do this and end up robbed or raped

"I had only one ride and had them bring me here, you have to let me in!" lol the hell I do. Good luck getting home!

Why would you be responsible for theft? If he wants to steal stuff, that's his damn business, you're not responsible for his actions. Should've let him do it so he would've gotten caught by the police; I can tell you he would've left you alone then.

@@53bload53 that's just a manipulative tactic people like that use. Claim what they do, X, is your responsibility if you don't do Y. Unfortunately it works all too well as decent people see it as an opportunity to prevent X from happening to someone else.

You can't help these people. Bless your heart but you'll only get taken advantage of.

I invited a friend over for the first time recently and she made a point to let me know that a mutual friend's TV was 3x bigger than mine. Not just that, but she complained about how "noisy" she thought the ceiling fan was, why I had so much furniture, why I was dancing (which is something I always did around her), and that my trash can wasn't motion sensor like hers, why I needed to use so "many" ingredients to make chili, and how empty she thought my fridge was. And to top it off, left the room to use the bathroom and she jumped up fast to put her hoodie and shoes on, instead of just saying 'hey I'm going to go ahead & leave.' 35 year old 🤦♀️ now I know why it took me three years to invite her over.
