Grum, I would so love a mag drill, would make drilling the holes for the cylinders much easier, you know them ones I haven't done yet. Had a similar thing happen a few months ago. Made some spacers for a gearbox, got a call, went talking came back, one of them had vanished. I work alone, wasn't on the floor, nowhere else. Two days later i gave up and made another part. The next day after, i found the bloody spacer gripped on my swarf magnet which is attached with a loop to my mill. The thing had fallen off the mill, somehow, and got itself stuck to the magnet. Probably would've found it before making another part if i hadn't been so pissed off i didn't even clean the mill from the previous operation. They drive you nuts, these "disappearance cases' in the shop. 😂
